Impeachment Inquiry Underway

Taylor and Kent are legit in every sense: integrity, knowledge, experience, and mission-focused.  To reject or grossly minimize their expert, nonpartisan assessments is to willfully engage in the nullification of the truth.  But that's the new party of Trump.

and LOL at the latest GOP talking point:  The testimony is boring!!  essentially - look away 'murica, nothing to see here,... This shit has gotten so Orwellian.

Why isn't more being made of Trump trying to cover his tracks with his after-the-fact phone call in which he says "I WANT NO QUID PRO QUO" -- a phrase he only learned after the whistle blower came for

I feel so much better knowing the man who paid 140k to a porn star before the 2016 election to buy her silence, is looking into possible corruption of another candidate.

The current Republicans in Congress are straight cowards.

The hearing today is damning on multiple levels but I don't expect it to matter to most of the country. The sheep like longtimefan get their news from biased sources and don't even realize they are brainwashed. the GOP will continue to support Trump for for fear of being swept out of office by the very sheep they are beholden to. Its a vicious cycle.

Bahahahaha!!!!

So far into this idiotic hearing and not a single word relating to anything relevant to impeachment. In fact, these two witnesses arrogantly tell us about their careers in the gov't, their private lives, their history lessons, and their opinions about policy. They clearly despise Giuliani, mostly because he was not working through the State Department, much like many presidential confidants throughout our history. They obviously are also very close to the former ambassador to Ukraine, an Obama holdover, and don't like the way she was ousted. What does any of this have to do with impeachment or an impeachment hearing. What these two witnesses don't care to understand is that the president sets foreign policy that may differ from what the State Department approves.   See North Korea, Syria and Israel.

^^ Wholesale rejection of national interest expertise in deference to the one actor (literally) who has been proven to be the most self indulgent, reckless, self serving president in recent memory.  And Giuliani acting solely on behalf of the prez now is a credible diplomat in a tense international hotspot.

This is high level discernment from the repubs at this point.  LOL!!

Not at all. I worry the dems have overextended themselves again.

What else were they supposed to do?  Sit back and let this happen?  They had to do this.  Whether it works out or not, it would be worse IMO if they'd just sat back and let it happen.

Its a tough question. Do you risk blowback and hand Trump another 4 years in the name of doing what's right or do you focus on defeating him in an election?

wtf do you think happens if the Dems don't take this down the correct path? Trump sees the inaction and continues to pressure the Ukrainian President to open an investigation against Biden and say so in a TV interview. He caves and now Trump has manufactured significant dirt against a political rival.

Then what? If Biden isn't the nominee, Trump moves on to manufacture a controversy against whoever wins the nomination b/c he got away w/ it the first time. Then if that isn't enough, he does it again.

Because the president of the Ukraine might have been or was probably under duress in need of military aid that automatically means that Trump had no right to ask him for anything.

He has no right to with hold aid until the Ukrainian President opens an investigation into Trump's political rival.
