IsntLifeFunny Posted September 5, 2021 Report Share Posted September 5, 2021 (edited) Not to get too far off-topic but it fits here. Last night I brought the trash out at 3 AM. I bought my house in the country but my neighbors are still close. As I dropped the trash in I heard a noise close to me (no close streetlights) and thought it was just an animal but became ready to defend myself. Then I heard a footstep and literally hopped and turned toward the noise into perfect form fighting stance and was about to attack (Re-reading this I meant to say that as kind of a joke that I was proud I still had solid form lol). In those moments the fear is either used for flight or to attack. I’ve learned to control that fear and my first instinct is to protect myself. I’m not running back into my home in that situation when the person already has the drop on me. Maybe not the right choice, but the worst thing to do is be frozen. My eyes had adjusted by this point and the guy called out to me. He walked around the truck and saw me ready to kill him lol. I don’t mean that to sound like a badass but it definitely caught me unaware and I went into attack mode and was about to rush. He said ‘whoa whoa I’m staying over here!’ when he saw me. Welp long story longer I learned my neighbor is 100% moving drugs out the house. He just moved into it a couple weeks ago to take care of his father. The friend was outside because a truck apparently stopped in front of the house with the lights off. I talked with the guy for a bit to get more information. We walked over to the truck he was working on and there was the 12 gage sitting there. I was like welp fuck. And I told the guy I got no problems with what you guys do but keep that shit low and keep it away from my house. Haha kind of crazy actually.
