As the son of a white farmer in West TN growing up in the 80/90's, I can be pretty damn sure I had it way more than 10x easier than the hay-hauling crews we picked up that were pretty much entirely poor/black. Many of them really had minimal options as a function of their birth situations and very few escaped local poverty.

They have been conditioned most of their lives to reject facts/evidence and instead have faith in what they are told. Trump is their new Megachurch pastor who can do no wrong.

This is a good example of the downside risks of not listening to subject matter experts. Elon is good at disruption, which has pros/cons.
