Hall Of Famer

Hall Of Famer (5/5)

  1. None of their receivers are great, but their third rated receiver is rated 64.6. So, on average they are just ahead of us. Boyd rated 59.6 which brought our average down. Still not sure how much I would put into the metric like I said, but I am working so I just did a quick average of the top three qualifying players on their 2024 team to get some sense of it. Obviously if you asked me if I would rather have Shakir, Samuels, and Hollins or Hopkins, Ridley, and Boyd I am running with our guys EVERY time.
  2. I'm a data guy so I wanted to do a reality check after hearing the Titans receiving core being called top 6 on the Colin Cowherd show. So, I grabbed the receiving grades from PFF, grouped the players by their current team, and then averaged out the top three players. The Titans rank tied for eighth by that metric. Houston (77), Chicago (77), LA Rams (75), Miami (72), Buffalo (71), Detroit (71), and Jacksonville (70) ranked higher than the Titans (69, nice). Not sure how valid it is, but it is better than the types of headlines we were getting last year: Titans WR Group Ranked One of NFL's Worst by Pro Football Focus
  3. Boyd is an impact player in the slot. He's going to get open with the other receiver options we have. In the past we would have signed someone like this as our number two. Now we're going to make teams pick which receiver to double or which part of the field the safety cheats. Do neither, and Hopkins and Ridley can win that match-up easy. Do either, and Boyd is going to get open. Plus we have backs that can catch the ball if they try to cover all three or sit back. Yeah, I'm drinking the blue Kool-Aid a bit but it tastes good.
  4. Burks as a fourth option (lol) on his current contract is fine. Realistically, he's actually elite as a fourth option or as someone who can fill in for injuries. We have a good thing with the current depth and can afford it. Why change that?
  5. Sounds like things have continued to go downhill. Maybe the fact that they now have a College Football 25 team means they get some fresh ideas.
  6. Haven't played Madden in a decade, but this could be an OP/fun team to play with.
  7. Three possible day one starters. Four if you count returners. Two rotational guys. I think that is a really nice draft. Sure, they could have been like Monty or Ros and moved around a bit. But this offseason from FA to trades to the draft has seen the FO filling needs with some really nice talent. I always try not to react because they didn't get my guys. They did not sit and let good players at need positions fly by while wearing stupid costumes and acting smug and have earned the right to build something before we completely poop on them.
  8. And if NT was more valued he would have been even higher. Over the last ten years I would say the best prospects in no particular order would have been Poe, Vea, Shelton, Travis, Brown, and Sweat.
  9. For historic Titan, Finnegan but still not really.
  10. What was it like watching him as a fan? Does it seem like he’s slipping too far here?
  11. Rattler to the Saints was a nice spot for him. Not that I think he’s great or anything, but it’s a perfect spot.
