NashvilleNinja
When I started messing around with the mocks for this draft season Hill was the linebacker being projected to the top of the 2nd, ahead of guys like Rodriguez and I think even CJ Allen at one point. He and Faulk were both guys I kept notcing peripherally and mocked them a few times but both fell off the radar. It's funny how they're both here now and the hype is kicked up a notch. He was, i always saw him more as a fit in the blitzing ilb role for a 3-4, but they obviously think he fits our defense to a tee. Hill does a lot of drag down tackles too, in the clips I've seen. That was the one thing Bulluck did, too. He rarely popped people and stuffed them back. But he also rarely missed a tackle, and he also made some great breakups, INTs, etc. He's one of my all-time fave Titans players, too. Exactly, Bulluck was strictly a pursuit player. I remember when Peter Sirmon got hurt, and he played MLB in the nickel. They moved Bulluck to MLB in the nickel and he did an interview and openly talked about his struggles in that role. He couldn't take on blocks. Hill might be better in pursuit than at the point of attack but he is so fast he usually avoids getting blocked: Scouting Report: Strengths Exceptional sideline-to-sideline range with the elite speed that allows him to chase down plays from the backside and close on the ball with elite burst. Runs downhill with violence and bad intentions. His tackle grades are elite (90th percentile), and he finishes through contact with explosive hip rotation that creates highlight-reel collisions. Quick-trigger processor who reads keys at the snap and fires into gaps before blockers can get set. begooode, and Justafan
Alcibiades
Great! Like I said, I didn't see those contacts in the videos I watched. If the scouts say he can do that, then he could be a better version of Bulluck. That's hard to imagine though. Bulluck was amazing. titanruss
From a tackling standpoint, Hill did seem to hit with more pop more often than Styles. OILERMAN, TerryBoats, and Justafan
Alcibiades
Do you have some clips of that? I'd like to see them. Also, I think Styles and Reese will be great backers. I hope Hill will be too. I just didn't get to watch UT much.

He's hurting people, driving them back, making them fumble with direct hits. He doesn't seem to have elite size/strength (not small either) but in short yardage he will stop big ball carriers in their tracks long enough for the help to arrive. More straight on than styles. Styles has more range and seems to chase better, likely a pass rushes better. Didn't look to see who takes on blocks better.... but Styles is getting dragged almost every tackle (partly but not all a result of his chasing and range) and uses the hip drop to get guys down like a former DB - rather than form tackle, keep the legs moving and try to drive them back like career LBs. I dont know which would actually be better in short yardage situations where that matters the most, so maybe its just the flavor/style I prefer in my LBs.
