One of the best ever point differentials through all games. Fourth best DVOA by a team, ever. Not a single turnover in the playoffs, first ever. Tons of superlatives to throw at this Seahawks team. Yeah, yeah, people want to clown the second best team in the NFL ... continue on ... but it's worth noting just how good the Seahawks are / were this year. It's a very understated historic season. oldschool, FireInTheHole, and rns90 2

I'm okay with this, but the fact remains they were ran off the field by that dominant team. It was never a contest even though their defense held them in it for awhile. Two teams remained. The Rams weren't one of them. Vrabel wins again. This is a stupid argument. It is fine for this to not be either or--Vrabel is a good coach and got a lot out of the Patriots. That was a good Patriots team. It is okay to acknowledge that. I think there are other teams that were better this season. The format of the tournament dictates the match up, it isn't a Royal Rumble. The Patriots, including the playoffs, played eight games against playoff teams while the Titans, despite not making the playoffs, played ten games against playoff teams. Popular Post cenj
A Vrabel-led Patriots will never get back to the Superbowl again. They did take advantage of the historically easy schedule, so good for them to capitalize on the good fortune. But we all know what happens over time. Vrabel will get his hands more into everything on the team and will make it worse. My guess is that fans will turn on McDaniels first and blame him, unless Maye takes the next step and shows himself to be a legit MVP candidate. I personally think McDaniels has been a saving grace for Vrabel, but someone will get the axe as the offense starts regressing. I welcome the multi-year blame game Pats fans will suffer through until they finally, reluctantly, realize they won't win with Vrabel. Thats the dream but I bet Maye and Mcdaniels will keep that team relevant. I'm not even sure Vrabel has the authority to fire McDaniels. When you have a good HC, OC, QB... you are going to have more success than most.
