The same people who vociferously backed Kyle Rittenhouse crossing state lines with an AR 15 and gunning down a couple of people now try to tell us you shouldn't show up to a protest armed.

The collective brain power of the right has dwindled to be nothing more than a flicker from a candle deep in the coal mine.

They think whatever they're told to think....  Changing hourly, at this point.

This is quite rich, indeed.

The Second Amendment affords every American citizen the right to go armed where and whenever he feels like it and chooses to do so.

But after this incident, suddenly our conservative/libertarian-leaning friends are taking the position that this particular American citizen shouldn't have had a firearm on his person in a public setting.

Do you guys even listen to yourselves?

This is what I was coming to post.....

lol, Trumper questions why US citizen is exercising his constitutionally protected right.

Who tried to seriously argue the shooter that shot Kirk wasn't wrong and shouldn't be arrested? If you're going to make the comparison use the right context. No one was dumb enough to make that argument.

The victim never drew a  weapon.   At no time did he make any sort of aggressive move toward any federal agent.   The victim wasn't engaging or even talking to the ICE officers....he's just standing there in the street filming and motioning a stopped car to go ahead and pass.

The first ICE agent initiates and escalates the incident by shoving and pepper spraying the protestors...other agents walk over to see what's up.    As the agents engage them, the victim immediately raises his arms above his head...the universal sign for surrender.

At no point does the victim draw his weapon or even raise a fist to the agents.   He's tackled and pinned to the ground by 2-3 agents....and within seconds one of them shoots him in the head.

I get how a situation can quickly spin out of control.   I also understand the possibility of human error:   in the heat of the moment, maybe the shooter thought the victim was drawing his own weapon.    I get that.    It's obviously  tragic...but I get how it could happen.

What's truly disgusting and completely indefensible is the Trump administration flat-out lying about what happened:  vilifying the victim and calling it an act of domestic terrorism....when all he did was film the incident and raise his hands in surrender.

Videos of this incident will be seen by tens of millions of Americans.... maybe even a hundred million.   Americans are seeing with their own eyes exactly what happened and how it all unfolded.

Yet somehow Trump administration is literally telling us to reject what our eyes are seeing.    Sound familiar ?

"The party told you to reject the evidence of your eyes and ears. It was their final, most essential command.”

There's a sniper I follow that I think called it. One of the ICE agents gets his gun and as he starts to move away w/ it, he accidently discharged it. That scared the incompatent other agents and they shot him repeatedly in the back.

Interesting analysis from someone else.

There are WILDLY different narratives emerging from the SAME videos. Remember the 24-hour rule. The truth will emerge over time.

1. Conservative influencers say you can see a gun drop from Pretti’s hands right after he was shot (see screenshots. I’m sorry for the graphic nature.)

2. Liberal influencers and CNN say a man (likely a federal agent) in a gray jacket took Pretti’s gun and walked away with it before the first shot, which happened a second later.

CNN says you can hear agents shout, “he’s got a gun.”

It is possible that:

3. The item that dropped was instead a magazine or gear from another agent or something else.

It is also possible that:

4. The agent who fired didn’t see the gray jacket guy take the gun but heard “he’s got a gun,” saw the grappling or the other item, and fired because he reasonably believed agents’ lives were in danger and that it WAS a gun. He doesn’t have to be right under the law, just reasonable.

There was an infamous case in Milwaukee years ago where an officer mistakenly thought a black cassette tape was a gun. Ruled justified.

Fog of war.

Saying it once again. The agent did not have the benefit of endlessly freeze framing every angle.

This happened in a second.

Also: Pretti shouldn’t have been struggling with agents.

Let it play out. The truth will become self evident over time. But it’s messy and ugly. And I am sad he died.

That's pure speculation and I don't believe it. The officer in the gray who took the pistol does not have his hands around the trigger and the officer who discharged drew his weapon before the officer disarmed him.

Comparing this incident to Kyle Rittenhouse is truly laughable.

Walz stating that ICE "are not law enforcement" is the exact stupid rhetoric by your leaders that signal the dumb fucking sheep to interfere with ICE doing their job.

Feed the sheep FALSE INFORMATION and their low IQ will follow blindly, do stupid things and then fuel the faux outrage.
