Are we supposed to be talking about Bailey as a better run defender than Bain now because TTU had a better success rate against the run than MIA? Surely can't be anything to do with Jacob Rodriguez and Lee Hunter... What about Bailey's 13.7% pass rush win rate against real OTs (Utah, Oregon, ASU) while Bain racked up a 32.4% pass rush win rate against Ohio St? Or his 15 pressures and 5 sacks against OSU and Texas A&M? Or how about conveniently cherry picking PFF stats but not including that Bain was the only ED with a top 10 pass rush grade and run defense grade? I'm not arguing that Bain is a significantly better prospect than Bailey, but this is clearly cherry picked data to push an opinion. That's not cherry-picked data. It is from every snap of the entire season. What you just used was cherry-picked data to push an opinion. Cam is a tough guy. He isn’t going to die if they don’t have an elite running back in 2026 lol the wise (successful) teams look years ahead. If they’re worried about losing their jobs already, then we are already so fucked off the rip that none of this matters anyway lol I'm sure some of it is this lingering dread in the back of their mind that AAS is going to randomly decide to fire Borgonzi for clearing his throat a little harshly around her and that the only thing that will save him is going undefeated in 2026. IsntLifeFunny
It isn't just about 2026. It's about Cam Ward's development as a franchise QB and optimizing that trajectory. Putting him on an offense with zero playmakers will only encourage him to continue playing hero ball, which we all know he can do. What he needs work on is proper footwork in the pocket, proper arm mechanics on easy passes, and overall running the offense as designed. Leaving him with zero playmakers amplifies the traits that make him special but also lead to bad habits and a lack of trust in the offense as designed. Cam Ward's development is more important than anything else in the franchise. It's not binary, and I'm not saying by going defense you're ruining his development. I am saying you're risking him further developing bad habits instead of correcting the ones he already has. They absolutely need the team to spend a top 4 pick on a RB. Meanwhile they are ok with the team having trash at C and RG which actually affects Ward more adversely. Sold. Didn’t think it’d work out pts wise but that’s enough to move down that far. Although I suspect Borgonzi would want one of the Jets first round picks in 2027. This offense has zero weapons. None. Zilch.

If an offensive player isn’t at the top of their board when the 4th pick rolls up, what are you going to do? They can use the majority of their other picks on offense. How much does that move the needle for the team in 2026? How much does Love move the needle for the team in 2026? People will act like it's not a big deal right now and talk about long term plan but watch what happens around here if the offense struggles again this year because they didn't add a big time play maker or any actual difference makers on that side of the ball. "Cam needs some weapons" was all the talk last year. ctm

I am pretty sure Love would do well behind a line where Pollard was able to run 161 yards one game. Now he only had 3 100+ yard games but I put that to the line being new together, the offensive scheme and pollard. Cam was sacked alot as the line developed but also bc Cam was playing hero ball too much early. That also improved as the run game improved. The online currently has 3 first round picks level oline invested in it in Latham, Skoronski, and Zeitler. I want Cam to develop into who he can be.. and so I want him to have support. The only big time playmaker that I see that could take the load off of cam is Love. That the top playmaker we can get when we have the 4th overall pick is a RB is unfortunate.. but thems the breaks. (again- if Titans evaluate one of the defensive guys a top 5, can't miss go for it. If they thin Tate is a top 5 worthy WR - go for it. I just dont see it and dont think wishing someone is that bc he plays a different position is helpful. )

Which is fine, as long as the second pick is a WR and then the rest of the draft is very offense heavy. You cannot go into the season without premium picks being used on skill players on offense.
