His shoulder probably would have kept him out next week anyway.

And let's be honest...They're playing the Seahawks with a pissed off Darnold. This will be a bloodbath of epic proportions regardless of who they trot out there.

We're already in "terrible company", might as well get back to back #1 picks at the same time

If you cant see how that trade propelled us to a superbowl contender, which is just about all anyone can reasonably ask for, there is no helping you.    It made us ryan Tannehill away from a

Yeah, chest contusion. But as it is now, I fulle expect him to start dropping punts and KO's since he had his first and that was his MO in college.

Thats the way this season goes, can't have noce things for too long!

Only Tolar would sit around and nitpick the best (or 1B) draft in Titans history using as his smoking gun a 2 time All-Pro tackle.  Tolar, that was a great draft period.  Sorry you can't be satisfied...

It’s been years and he STILL doesn’t understand why Conklin was picked over Decker.

It was a great draft period.... with a big mistake though. If you can still worship Conklin, I can still rue the price paid for him-- it approximates what the Chiefs paid for Patrick Mahomes. You can stretch like that for a QB but not for a RT.

So you would you choose Conklin over Decker, a 2nd rounder, and a 3rd rounder?

I'm not saying Conklin is a bum, he's just never been worth that price. Decker might still be starting for US and those two picks could have upgraded the roster at some position to this day.

And I'm not just using hindsight. I questioned the trade the moment it was announced. You guys have to stop with your lazy criticisms just because you don't agree.

Where's Conklin on this list? Decker is 24 out of 32...   https://www.pff.com/news/nfl-offensive-tackle-rankings-top-32-ahead-of-2025-nfl-season

Tolar bing as always been right on Conklin. When you spend that much capital on a RT, he better be here for 10+ years barring major injury. The fact the Titans only got 4 years out of him and let him walk means it was a bad pick. The ROI was horrible and no amount of claiming "his wife wanted to be in CLE" will change that fact.

Imagine if we were to get the 1 and trade down with Cleveland. We draft edge (Bain, Faulk) with the the higher pick. Then, instead of waiting to see if Tyson, Tate, or Lemon fall to the 2nd pick we just trade it to Minnesota for Justin Jefferson.

Good idea? Bad idea?

Is there any reason to think Minnesota is trading Jefferson? The only issue I have with it, is are we better off finding a younger guy while the team is still building or is it really worth paying Jefferson even though we're probably not a playoff caliber team until 2028?

It's a thought experiment based off a random tweet I saw mentioning Jefferson's supposed frustration with the Vikings offense.

If Jefferson is frustrated with the Vikings offense he would be out on his driveway doing situps after 2 days with the Titans.

Disclaimer: the thought exercise was a total hypothetical based on the idea that the offense in 2026 would be decidedly different/improved from 2025. Not that he wouldn't still be out on his driveway doing situps...
