I thought Ward looked more relaxed and played better overall. He still missed some passes and took some sacks but he did some things in this game that were notable.    He took some easier pa

Feel sorry for the defense today 4 sacks 8QB hits 8TFL 9PD.

The Titans really are playing their tails off.  They just don’t have the horses.

Yes and no. The defense is functional, the offense is not. You are correct though that we really really need cbs even if the defense isnt a total shit show. Well, let me rephrase that. The offense is a shitshow 90% of the time. The defense is a shitshow 25% of the time.

I think they'll throw stupid money at one of the top WRs in FA to stabilize the room - Pierce or Doubs. Won't be a perfect solution but combined with improvement from Ayo and Dike plus another top 100 pick at the position, should be better weapons for Ward.

I think at WR we have 2 of 3 starters for next year.

At CB, we have 0 of 3 starters.

If you are counting on Ayo as a starter, that’s a stretch.  It’s not 0 starters like CB but it’s pretty bad

I think he’ll get the opportunity - whether it works out long term or not is another story.

I do think he has a lot of room for improvement coming from Canadian football and a program like Stanford. I think there’s a chance he could make a big second year jump.

That said, if he falters, you need another higher round rookie waiting in the wings. 2nd or 3rd rounder.

I personally would think about bringing Van Jefferson back as a veteran WR5 on a really cheap deal as depth - plays ST, all the WR positions, growing familiarity with Ward, has durability, and meets Borgo’s threshold for speed.

And Oliver, as a high level gunner, is an ideal WR6.

Depends on who they hire at HC I think - whether it’s a heavy 2 TE offense or primarily 3 wide. Nagy is a 3 wide guy, but someone like Smith or Saleh probably needs more TEs.

I’m iffy on whether Helm should be the number 1 TE going into next year. Definitely would provide a safety blanket to have a high end veteran TE like Mark Andrews, but then you’re relegating Helm to TE2 snaps.

The question, imo, isn't what's a bigger need. Needs are too numerous to list.  The question is what does Borgonzi consider the priority and who can he actually get signed in free agency?

I personally think he's a trenches guy first and foremost while trying to do everything possible to help Cam.

Cade Otten to pair at TE with Helm sounds better!

Honestly they should attempt to sign the best players that fit what the new coach wants and makes the team better. Especially considering there won’t be a WR or EDGE truly worth heavily investing in.

I don't know how much it's been discussed, but Cam's release point was bad today.  On one play he sideam the ball into the DL.  It wasn't sidearm, but he hit the DL twice after I noticed it.  Another pass he missed today because he didn't throw the ball to drop behind the db.  He threw one like that in preseason

Running the ball.  We were lucky today.  He needs to do his business behind the line.  He has to establish himself as a lethal thrower of the ball, then run smart.
