People can say the same about the Colts who haven't really beaten anyone either although the Chargers if they hold on would be a good win. I thought they played great today. They're heavily penalized but today they tackled well, played smart and disciplined. And Maye is playing out of his mind. They're going to be a tough out. It's called jealousy blindness. Run rampant in divorced women and dumped girlfriends.

Popular Post oldschool
I think many are being reactionary when it comes to Ward's ability to process and throw with anticipation. He did both with ease at Miami and he's shown flashes of it with the Titans. He needs protection, skill players, and time to acclimate to the NFL. This year is going to be a bust development wise but there is no substitute for live reps so he'll need to just push through it. titanskick8851, NashvilleNinja, DCTitan, and 7 others

OzTitan
Once Ward starts to process quicker he will look a lot better I think. Not a given he will be able to for sure, but it is something that can develop with experience of course. The bad fumbles and his tendency to throw behind too much needs to stop ASAP. oldschool

Dude, he has that innate ability, it shows up all over his college tape. Guys who can process the field, don't lose it when they get to the NFL. Ward's issues are ball security and the fact he's playing in an offense and with a supporting cast he's not comfortable with. He needs an offseason working with a pro QB coach, and more time to study. AvgJoe, DCTitan, and stormi

rns90
It’s ball security and I don’t think he’s used to NFL speed or how better the defenses are. Both solvable btw. oldschool, and IsntLifeFunny
OzTitan
There were two 3rd downs specifically where he got sacked in this game where even just slightly quicker processing would probably have resulted in a 1st. On one he escaped to his right but #44 got him from behind, if he processed the fact there was no one open just slightly quicker he probably leaks out for a 1st. Another one way Helm running across his face who I think he saw but it was too late as he swallowed the ball for a sack. Just slightly quicker, ball is out for a 1st, probably. You are confusing processing speed with play diagnosis... not the same thing

He is really close to avoiding them.

There's reasons for everything but for those who don't look at this stuff every day like we do it just looks bad for everyone involved with management/ownership. And great for Vrabel. That's about what it is. NE has better personnel. Look at Indy. They wasted a high number one two years ago, but they were drafting well. I actually like this year's daft. If Helm could bulk up, he looks like T-10 potential.
