I wasn’t sure how to read that whole thing

If I'm being honest after watching that press conference I would be surprised if its going to be Stefanski and it isn't down to his actual on field coaching ability more surrounding the culture builder and holding guys accountable angle.

I think Stefanski would be really good developing a 12 personnel heavy offense around Ward but there would be question marks around whether he would be the right guy to get the best out of guys like Latham and Sweat.

My thoughts.   I post infrequently nowadays but do want to do so tonight.  I have vacillated with each new entry into the HC/OC sweepstakes.  I studied what I could with available data on ea

FWIW on F Words Zach Lyons just said he heard the interview between McDaniel and the Titans went “very well”.

You’re starting to get me black pilled into it really just being Nagy lol

The first sign Stefanski wasn't high on the list was that the interview was scheduled for Saturday. The Giants scheduling him tomorrow shows they have more interest.

One thing for sure out of that presser that if Borgonzi wasn't aware of the skepticism of his previous working relationship with Nagy muddying this HC hiring process the media made him fully aware of their and most fans views about it.

Have to see how many interviews they end up holding on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday it might of been a case where Borgonzi had the Titans schedule filled up before Stefanski was officially fired.

Also the fact the Stefanski interview is in person that probably requires a longer time block being opened than a standard zoom interview.

@AussieTitanFan08 do you think the invites for say Saleh, Shula, and Hafley come after their games this weekend? I don’t understand unless it’s just not getting reported why we wouldn’t be scheduling those now

Plenty of time to schedule them later. It seems like we already have a full week of interviews lined up. Many of these guys wont be able to interview in person for weeks anyways

Some coaches will like the “clean slate” of the Titans and Raiders that will have young QB’s in Cam and Mendoza and TONS of cap space to build the team the way they want.
Browns and Falcons are in the negative on cap space. Giants have very little.

The larger point is if Stefanski being available jumped him the front of the list, the Titans would be doing more to get him in before other teams. Scheduling his in person interview 5 days out while the Giants got one scheduled tomorrow shows the interest both teams have in him. Its a pretty safe bet aside from the Colts DC, the Titans primary targets appear to be Nagy and Joseph.

The Titans can't even interview any of the candidates on teams playing a playoff game this week anyway.

If Borgonzi wants to interview any of those guys he will be fighting with the other 5 teams with a HC vacancy to schedule interviews during the allowed window next week.

Can't go that far yet without knowing the scheduling over the next 3 days.

In person visits tend to be a dinner the night before and then full day type deal rather than simply knocking out a 3-4hr zoom interview it really might be just a case of Saturday being the best scheduling fit for not only the Titans but Stefanski.
