you may never have liked the hire and thats fine. But most HC hires fail. acting like its easy to make those hires is proof of what @Mythos27 said about you is spot on.

My track record of predicting the success/failures is nearly flawless.  Why does my lack of coaching experience matter when I was the only one around here who made the correct assessment?  I'll be right about the next one too.  Maybe you'll listen next time!

Hiring a good coach isn't hard.  Convincing an impatient owner to stay the course when there are roster and other internal issues is what is difficult.  Which is exactly what happened here.

Albert Breer has a few nuggets here about the HC search and some of the analytical studies the team is already undertaking about varying success rates of second time HC and coordinators with more than

It is becoming really annoying how some people are using bad result as an excuse to paint the last HC hiring process as a sham. Facts are Callahan was an in demand candidate during that hiring cycle e

Callahan was a great "candidate" and a terrible head coach.

Pleasantly surprised to see Weaver on this list - I think he has a ton of potential to be a high level HC when he gets his shot, have been following him closely for some time. Presumably McDaniel would be his OC.

Miami's defense has been awful, but they were #6 in total defense a year ago.  If we essentially transplanted the dolphins coaching staff here - but with someone more well -suited for HC in charge - I think we'd all be happy

Lou Anarumo Is a weird inclusion

Cincinnati's defense was great during the couple of playoff runs that they made.  Remember what they did to us, and Buffalo?  Indianapolis also improved from #24 to #4 in points allowed this year.  Only issue is he's old AF.

Why do people have strong feelings against Kingsbury? I'm missing something on that one.

I don't actually care who our next HC is, as long as it is someone who KNOWS the rules and how to run a damn team. Players are more important, but a coach needs to do the competent stuff, at least.

I dont really follow other teams coaches enough to have a legit opinion on this search. That said, everything in my memory of kilff at Arizona was bad and I assume others have that hanging over their opinion.

I do know he has been doing a good job right now as an OC, I can also give him some of a pass in Arizona because Im no Murray fan. Could he get it done the 2nd go around? Sure, ward is also a guy who wants to run his air raid style offense so it could be a good fit.

Ill have to withold any real judgement till we get closer to hiring season when I have a chance to actually dive into these guys and we have a real list not 200 random dudes.

She just makes shit up. She is always very careful with how she words things. "I expect" is very different from "Titans are expected to..." or "sources say...". She's farming for clicks and she's not the only one. Its how sports media operates these days.

Most media in general. Even if the actual story has good substance they cant help but slap a ridiculous title on it to drum up extra intrest or anger.

Lol remember when Reggie McKenzie was a leading candidate for GM? She doesn’t have the same sources she had once Vrabel left.
