Albert Breer has a few nuggets here about the HC search and some of the analytical studies the team is already undertaking about varying success rates of second time HC and coordinators with more than

It is becoming really annoying how some people are using bad result as an excuse to paint the last HC hiring process as a sham. Facts are Callahan was an in demand candidate during that hiring cycle e

Callahan was a great "candidate" and a terrible head coach.

Why is everyone in on Saleh today?  What article came out or whatever?  His Jets teams were atrocious. The only thing that matters is Cams development and he has never shown he could do that.

Brinker already stated that they think their process and what they wanted in a coach was correct last time. To me, that indicates an Offensive minded HC to have continuity in a system. Someone that believes in modern metrics and keeps up with working trends. Someone that has been a HC before and knows what it takes. Also, someone that has shown development of a QB before. I don't think they HAVE to call plays but if they do, they have to have shown success there before.

None of that lines up with Saleh.

The jets weren't that bad till the owner forced rodgers on him and basically made him the coach.

They were a near 500 team.

4-13 and 7-10 and zack wilson was pretty terrible under him. Their Defense was great. But he hated doing anything on O. Cam said he wants a guy that provide support holistically. ( not his exact words but still)

I'm not saying fans on reddit know their shit.. but head over to the Jets subreddit and see what some are saying there. Basically they talk about how he didnt give a shit about the Offense and they were putting up historically bad numbers on O and didnt care. We just had something like that in Cally except we were terrible on the thing he coached.

I don't trust Mcdaniels.... another case of non play calling OC getting a HC job. Why would they trust him here?

Idc how fancy his offenses have been, he is a nihilistic weirdo. Personality-wise he seems to be pretty low on the totem pole of people you want around Ward.

I don't get why people are sleeping on Eric Morris. Not for head coach but for OC or QB coach. How does that not make all the sense in the world? Is there some kind of exposé on him that revealed him to be incompetent and unworthy of a chance to move up to the pros? I feel like I'm just about the only one mentioning him. 🤷

Judging by the way he was chastising the offensive line in the clip that I shared, no offensive player would want anything to do with him.

If he looked like Wade Phillips, nobody would ever think to consider him as a HC again.  But because he's a big, bald, buff guy, people assume that he's a strong leader.  And I just don't get those vibes from him at all.

I actually didnt mind that when it happened. I did think it was funny that he said something along the lines of we are paying two wrs 10mil+ and we cant get them the  all because you cant block. The wrs were cory davis and some other bum

Im just genuinely curious why him and why today. Zach Lyons was talking about him on the radio too. So either he grabbed the idea from here (they do that all the time), vice-versa, or there was some marketing for him today online.
