Thrill
If Scotty thinks Henry is a tomato can now, imagine him averaging 3 yards a carry in 5 years trying to squeak out yards to break Emmitt Smith's record!!! I'm personally rooting for the all time rushing leader to be the Tomato can. Mythos27

titansfan
20 years from now... in totality Henry may have a legitimate case next to Jim Brown as greatest RB ever (including High School and College) Mythos27

Yeah I dont think he'll get the record... but he can move way up the list. Everything would have had to fall perfect.. Mularkey would have had to know how to utilize him (he admitted he screwed up there), Vrabel over working him to the strees fracture. Vrabel just running him into walls without help or a plan. The later shitty Titans rosters.... Really though, if Vrabel just hadnt overworked him and He was used as a starter to start his career he'd have a real shot. I dont buy into the tread on the tires argument. Edited December 28, 2025 by titanruss Mythos27

Thing is about Vrabel and Co. running him with no help is they had McNichols on the roster and he was contributing and really should have been given some more reps, instead they cut him right before the playoffs for some cast off Colts running back for special teams who probably has played a down in the league since. There is no fumbling issue... newer or older. Pretty much the opposite really. It's just magnified because it's Henry and some have come on prime time... and the couple haters here need any prayer of ammo. . If you just look at touches per fumble, he's one of the all-time greats at ball security... Henry- 118 touches per fumble CJ2K - 118 earl campbell 54 Eddie 85 players above him on the career rush yards list. .. Emmit 81 touches per fumble Sanders 83 Bettis 90 Walter p - 50 Gore - 92 Peterson - 72 Curtis Martin - 129 LT - 123 Dickerson - 42 Edited December 29, 2025 by titanruss Number9, Mythos27, LongTimeFan, and 1 other
titansfan
I was going to say the only great back with a fumbling issue was Peterson. Henry is historically reliable. His fumbles happen in spurts.

titanruss
CJ2K and Henry are some of the most secure ball carriers in history. Wild because of how much we were sold on Eddie and his ball security.... and those two were like 40% better Mythos27
LPFieldTitan
We have had some of the most fun running backs to watch. Earl, Eddie, Cj2k & Derrick Henry. I just wish the Titans for once could hold on to a great player their entire career. This franchise always lets the best talent go. Especially to the Ravens. Steve McNair, Samari Rolle, Derrick Mason, Cary Williams (Was important to their Superbowl run), Derrick Henry.
