Playing henry was dumb to be fair. The running game was clicking without him.

Oh no doubt. But on the scale of reasons why we lost, playing Henry is closer to the team chef not buying cereal bran with raisins than the obvious main reason.

The guy on the turf should be in a postal worker uniform.   Kinda like this...

If I was underage you'd really love Henry then! Then you could vote for him!

Still only 1 god awful pick. 1 was excellent defense, the last 1 was at least partially his wr.

totally disagree. It was 3 terrible picks - 1 where he didn't even look before throwing, 1 where the exact play was nearly picked before and he still threw it the same way, and one where he had other options that were clearly more open and to better players not blanketed with 3 defenders - he choked so bad he cried to a psychologist and his career never recovered....  but we've had plenty of discussion there.

This thread should be about the atrocity that was Harbaugh last night.

Henry with another 130 and 2 TDs. A dominant drive to take a strong lead where he couldn't be stopped... then the offense - yet again - going to a different (and worse) pass catching back with a QB that isnt great at throwing. The game promptly falling apart and Henry never seeing the field again.

It's a coaching choke job similar to Tannehill playoff debacle.

There's no telling at this point. Big backs like Henry tend to fall off a cliff. And most teams don't have feature grind it out running games anymore w/ power backs so we'll see what happens.

He has a chance though.

IMO,  the most single most amazing aspect of Henry is the fact that he consistently ranks among the NFL's very top rushers every single year....year in and year out, year after year after year after year.

This has been my opinion for some time...but then it occurred to me that I had no idea if the data actually supported this belief.    So to put it to the test and see how Henry stacks up against other top RBs, I made a list of the NFL's top 5 rushers for every season from 2000-2025, to see which players ranked in the top five most frequently.     This doesn't just examine how Henry compares to his contemporaries, but to every RB for the past 25 years.

From 2000-2025, here are all the RBs who ranked as a top-five rusher in  multiple seasons and how many times each player did it:

6 times:   Derrick Henry, Adrian Peterson

5 times:  Ladainian Tomlinson

4:   Jonathan Taylor, Saquon Barkley, Ezekiel Elliott, Marshawn Lynch, Clinton Portis, Edgerrin James

3:  David Johnson, Todd Gurley, Matt Forte, Steven Jackson, Michael Turner

2 times:    22 players

He's def in the debate for the top RB the first 25 years of the 2000's

If Jonathan Taylor stays healthy (doubt it), he's got a chance to catch him. Well ahead yardage -wise at this point in their careers.
