Nash
I always thought that the Henry had so many carries (395) his Heisman year at Bama that they purposely held him back to let him recover
BTiger3733
To get back to the intent of the thread, Henry could jump from #15 to #11 this week: 10) Tony Dorsett - 12,739 11) Jim Brown - 12,312 12) Marshall Faulk - 12,279 13) Edgerrin James - 12,246 14) Marcus Allen - 12,243 15) Derrick Henry - 12,230 Bongo59
Bongo59
I think he'll be top ten in December.
nine
I haven’t watched Henry much at all this year; from what little I’ve seen, he does appear to have lost a bit off his fastball. But I found this interesting: Henry is currently 3TDs away from his eighth consecutive season of 10+ rushing TDs Unless I’m overlooking someone, Henry is only the second player in NFL history to accomplish this. HOF Ladainian Tomlinson had nine consecutive 10+ TD seasons; Adrian Peterson did it eight times in nine years but only seven were consecutive. Many big name first-ballot HOF RBs never even came close. Just one more area where Henry’s accomplishments rank among the very best to ever play the game. That's my kind of move. Bury him on the depth chart to try and ruin his career!. If only I owned the Ravens! rns90, and CreepingDeath

The coaches were also stubborn and stayed with Murray far too long in 2017. On top of that Henry seemed to need an Eddie George heart to heart halfway through 2018 to get him going. Henry basically spent nearly two years here as a backup. And outside of of the 2015 year with the 395 carries he didn't have a ton of wear on him then. He had less than half those carries in 2014 and had a whopping 35 carries in 2013. From 2013-2018 he had 1,103 carries, an average of 183. Not a lot of tread off his tires from when he started playing college until he really started to take off in the pros. Combine that with his freakishly abnormal, sturdy physique and you've got a RB playing for as long as he has still putting up big time stats.
CreepingDeath
Currently #12 (just passed Marcus Allen, Edge James, and Marshall Faulk). 18 yards behind Jim Brown. He will surpass him on Turkey day (vs Bengals, night game). You boys ready for that glazing? #5 Rushing TDs (#15 all TDs). A. Peterson and M. Allen are the next up with 5 and 8 ahead of the King. titanruss, Supernope, and Alzarius 2

But he was still slow-played his second year while being statistically better in every efficiency category. I think that Mularkey didnt know how to use him (and later admitted his mistake there). Vrabel didn't know either. Everyone says there was some magical change with Henry ... but pretty sure the stats show he'd been just as consistent when he wasnt playing. Alcibiades
Frank Gore had 16k yards?? Amazing. Remember his injury at Miami? Looked like he might never play again. Instead, he ends up an all-time rush yardage guy. Impressively long career. CreepingDeath
