While he still isnt fast we know helms 40 was actually hampered by an injury. Even if we all agreed they both were hurt, helm would still come out faster.

They both looked slow in person even though they don't look slow on film. Restrepo got some thick ass thighs for how small he is. I bet he doesn't lose any speed at all with pads on. Restrepo and Helm will both knock a DBs dick in the dirt if they don't tackle correctly

How quick/agile does Restrepo look irl?

He looks powerful but agile and quick is not how I'd describe him. He catches everything and runs smooth routes though. I would keep him if it were me. These old receivers ain't making it 17 games. Even if they need rookies to step up late in the season, his connection with Cam will be better than other rookies. And he gets extra yards.

If you watch his games, especially the Cal game, he just gets lost in the zone and Cam finds him or he's the last read. They must have some code between them on certain coverages like Gronk/Brady had

he looks smooth. he's "smart fast" and separates easily against zone. his issues will forever be getting open in man. he can get open in man but the windows are so much smaller and its harder for him to maintain any separatio.

Hasnt stood out much from the practices I saw unless we were in zone.

So no, he doesnt really look fast or all that quick.. but his instincts and smooth routes help where his legs lack.

I posted a few weeks ago that he could be a force on bunch formations, he looks like he can block a safety, maybe a smaller coverage linebacker( like Otis Reese)..

Restrepo's biggest positives are: he catches all and he runs after contact. He turns into a RB with the ball in his hands. So he might be good on packages for him as the checkdown, but he's gonna have to chip and add some value otherwise Helm can do any route or package they'd put for him. They ran the same 40 time lol

Also Callahan doesn't like putting players on the field that dictate coverage. If it's pass everytime he's out there that sucks

He's also quick and he has potential to be good at finding soft spots in zones in part due to his chemistry w/ Cam.

And Helm had a legitimate excuse for his 40 time.

That's what I saw too. I think you went to a separate practice than me but it was exactly the same. What we didn't get to see: him lowering his shoulder into a DB and picking up extra 10 yards

i was there sat and tuesday.

he'd be a great H-back/FB if he was 1" and 30lbs heavier. i do think he could find a place in this league but he's gotta get the opportunity above his UDFA status.

More like 1 day highlights. The only day the offense looked decent haha.

The positive about Saturday is that they were working on 3rd and longs and got big plays/converted. Even on Tuesday they were converting some 3rd and longs backed up but the bad plays stood out more.

Like others have said, he'll need to show it in games and show something consistently extra when the ball is in his hands in order to make the team.

Welker and Dmase were great returners to solidify their spots in order to prove they could be great wrs too. Not sure restrepo gets that chance.
