He's a better version of Jimmy G (more accurate) but I think he's got a ceiling.... If Tannehill would've been born about 10 years later... Shanahan's offense is the biggest thing to hit the NFL since Bill Walsh...which was heavily influenced by BW Edited May 17, 2025 by SleepingTitan

I expect them both to have a slump and be desperate at the end of the season when the Titans could be putting shit together. Supernope
OzTitan
49ers are lucky they are in the NFC, they can probably still get away with this for the time being.

I mean they are stepping back from contender status and need to be rebuilt. Shanahan/Lynch could soon be fired etc.... Number9
When Mahomes signed that 500M deal it was considered high, now he's not close to the highest paid. Schefter said the NFL is really getting their money's worth off Mahomes because they have him playing five(?) prime time games. He making mo money, mo money for everybody. Most people in the know scoffed at Mahomes deal. Tannehill got a better deal. He signed for way too long and didn't get nearly enough up front. SleepingTitan
I seriously doubt Mahomes cares about the few million $ per year difference. The dude is on every commercial during the games No1TitansFan
NashvilleNinja
Mahomes earned $27M in endoresements in 2024 alone, supposedly. He may not be status #1 on pay day, but that man is living in luxury for the rest of his life and the rest of his children and grandchildren's lives. Assuming Brittany or his crackpot father/brother don't manage to do something to change that status. Number9, and IsntLifeFunny
