In a season where you are certain you're going to watch bad football, a curiosity keeps the interest alive. The season is functionally over and we all know it. If it goes this well i still think it was worth elevating him for a game. According to google the fastest tortoise can "run" up to 26 feet per min in short bursts. That would mean he was on the field with the ball in his hands for.... 20.77min. We are going to kill in the time of possession battle. Edited Friday at 04:28 PM by Callidus Supernope

rns90
7 hours ago, OILERMAN said: Philips stepped in as a rookie and was the punt returner(which he bombed) and slot guy. In his first game he had 9 targets. That's not waiting for Philips to get his shot. He played 37 snaps in the first game of his rookie season. The slot receiver spot has also changed, teams don't use the small shifty guys anymore. And the real reason Restrepo doesn't get elevated when Kinsey and Prosche do is because he doesn't play STs, at all. Philips was a dynamite return guy in college. Restrepo did it a few times and was terrible. He's not on coverage teams. So basically "fans" want him to get elevated on the 45 man roster and only be the slot guy. That's not how it's works. He's not good enough to take up a spot on the 45 and only play WR. Kinsey played 22 ST snaps last week when he was activated I joke around about it but it's actually pretty simple stuff. A team isn't going to activate the 9th WR who runs a 4.8 to "give him a shot" who doesn't even play STs. Could you put this in bold or something? Because I’m pretty sure it’s been discussed a ton and people still miss the DAMN POINT. He’s a slow one trick pony whose importance is getting marginalized (slot reciever) and he sucks at ST. Yet you have these people why asking continuously why they don’t give him a shot. Edited Friday at 06:29 PM by rns90 OILERMAN

ctm
Because the coaches are trying to win the next game, including this Sunday, and want to play the better players, not the bottom of the depth chart like XR. This isn't that complicated and has been posted multiple times. Coaches get paid to win games and hopefully prolong careers and not experiment with the last guy in the rotation. No one is screaming to play the guy. The team is a sewer right now. It's okay for some people to think the guy should get some snaps.
