nine
A coworker I’ve known for years is a big-time Trump supporter. Last week I learned he’s not actually an American citizen; he’s a Canadian who has been legally living in GA with a green card for 25 years. I asked whether he’s concerned at all about the possibility of having his green card revoked. “Oh, not at all. I live by and respect the laws of the United States. I don’t cause any problems…I’ve got nothing to worry about. When we hear about ICE and all these deportations….all those people are here illegally. They’re not coming after me….I play by the rules and follow the letter of law. I’ve got nothing to worry about.” I like the guy….and for his sake I hope he’s right. We’ll see. I've seen you post enough over the decades to know you're being genuine, but we're all hoping for some schadenfreude with this admin. See if he will take a tracking device implant in case he gets sent to the Sudan - that way you can know where he is. MadMax

Knowing who he voted for, it won't hurt me if he ends up in El Salvador.

My god, it would be so friggin' hilarious if I found out he had voted in an election. But I seem to recall him making some reference to not being able to vote because he's not a US citizen.....and he doesn't strike me as the type who would try to game the system. Jamalisms
Many people are here legally and even in a program seeking more permanent status. They're following the law and the process and they're having status revoked and becoming illegal as they're abducted. Your friend is wrong and probably an idiot besides. Jamalisms
Half a million people *lawfully* in this country are now subject to deportation. Why? Because a racist criminal devoid of any ethical, moral or spiritual content was elected President - after trying to illegally overturn the prior election and instigating an attack on the nation's capital. As a direct (and foreseen) result, pernicious targeting of minorities and the most vulnerable has replaced the stability and strength that a nation of immigrants once treasured. And, sadly, transience of integrity isn't something that can be walked back. This choice some have made for all of us is one which has forever changed the course of time. The moral and ethical debasement with which the United States government (and its electorate) has cloaked itself is absolutely deplorable in every way. The (absence of) the content of his character was known and it didn't matter. And it didn't matter to a significant portion of the population of those who would call themselves Godly. What a complete and utter rejection of the principles of almost any religion. https://www.yahoo.com/news/supreme-court-allows-trump-administration-144144466.html MadMax, ctm, IsntLifeFunny, and 1 other 3
