Based on everything Brinker has said about positional value and team building there is absolutely no way they had any regret over not keeping Derrick Henry, a 31 yr old 2 down RB. That's strictly a fan thing. The mistake was not trading him in 2023, it's laughingly stupid they didn't. That's likely more on Vrabel(LOL, idiot) You are gonna cry so hard when Vrabel wins the SB with the Patriots. Can't wait man OILERMAN

Over the last 5 years the Packers have made - 53 total selections - 19 of them inside the top 100 (premium picks) Over the last 5 years the Titans have made - 36 total selections - 16 of them inside the top 100 (premium picks) I also think of a team like the Ravens. They go so far as to use the comp pick formula in free agency to always have a net loss in free agency to constantly get comp picks. It adds up. The draft is a lot of luck, the more picks the less variance and better chance at landing quality players. Nash, and BudsOilers

I never saw it actually reported but it likely goes without saying she had the final say. It's hard to believe Vrabel wasn't fighting hard to keep him though BeedoeLaw, and Callidus

Yeah, all I'm saying is that Derrick was popular here. There were a lot of empty seats at the stadium. It was widely speculated that AJ Brown played into the decision to move on from Robinson. I just wonder if it played into Amy's decision at all. At the end of the day it's a minor thought and in no way the major deciding factor so probably a moot point either way. Popular Post OILERMAN
Listening to the media scream and holler is hilarious. I heard Glennon and Boclair questioning why Ran was fired when he acquired talent like Sneed for Wilson and Ridley for Levis. "He had to spend that money on someone" Durrrr. Do they even understand what's going on? Buck Reising's rant was nothing more than a Skip Bayless attention grab. The idea that AAS is just firing people every year because she's changing her mind is off the mark. They wanted Vrabel to be a part of this, he forced Amy's hand so he would get fired. Carthon was obviously totally incompetent. She deserves some blame for extending some of these people too early but the firings are justified. Ran lost trust in Brinker/Amy for very legit reasons. He and Vrabel clearly wanted to draft Levis then he ignored all other options last year to add to the QB room. Levis was a total disaster and the main reason the team sucked. Ran was also going totally outside the vision of team building. Despite the reports on sleeping, leaving early etc... he wasn't aligned with the strategy. He needed to go. These moves steps in the right direction even if the local media/fans are too dumb to understand it NashvilleNinja, BudsOilers, Justafan, and 6 others
OILERMAN
I'm sure Vrabel had a lot of say in drafting Skoronski but Ran was also guilty of ignoring positional value, as others have pointed out. A guard at 11 and passing on a draft motherload for a non passing rushing interior DT early in the 2nd. titanskick8851

Justafan
I'll know what Brinker is about when he passes on a QB and trades back, then takes a blue chip edge rusher in the draft. titanskick8851, and kgsTitan

Justafan
Brinker didn't say they wouldn't use free agency, only that they would be more targeted about it and would focus on acquiring and developing players through the draft. titanskick8851, ctm, and kgsTitan
