Give me a break… Less than optimal use of draft capital but it's a massive leap to think Ward is McNair like.....McNair was bigger, stronger, faster. rns90

I was actually surprised how well he threw with anticipation Oilerman is my biggest conversion to Ward Hive member. It's great. There's video of VY, Locker, and Mariota throwing perfect passes too. They couldn't throw with anticipation the way Ward was consistently doing in this video breakdown. He was throwing the ball before receivers came open or out of their breaks consistently. I was shocked. Ward is a way better prospect than VY and Locker, those two picks were totally stupid. Ward's game translates to the NFL, whether he does it at the next level is another story Kcroy420, japan, IsntLifeFunny, and 4 others

Which of these deals do you want to be the one trading up for a qb? Maybe Vick? https://www.espn.com/nfl/story/_/id/35429888/nfl-draft-no-1-pick-trade-history-1967-every-top-selection-changed-teams

That all said, let's see how he does at the next level because the ACC is trash. japan

Another point is I think with better receivers who demonstrate the ability to get separation or get open early we will see the plays where Ward runs around before throwing a risky throw, reduce greatly. He's legitimately waiting on receivers and attempting to get them in the place to make a play

So waste the first overall on a flawed prospect and not get more draft capital to make the team better. Got it. Sounds like a great way to be picking top 10 the next decade. You act like the team has this one draft to get right and that’s not the case. Clearly patience isn’t a strong suit for you. At its core building through the draft is a patient strategy. If he's not getting the ball out quick, it will be ugly. Justafan
OILERMAN
34 minutes ago, ctm said: This is exactly why I'm persistent with the question. It exposes the alternative. Levis??? Seriously?? This year's #1 pick can be used two ways. A potential franchise QB or to trade and acquire more draft capitol as well as an elite draft pick(Carter?). The safest quickest route is the QB. That ones easy and what I believe the team will do. The other option is trading the pick. They'd have to not love Ward and get a big enough haul to make it worth it. As for starting Levis/Allen in 2025... Who entered 2024 as the starter? Levis??? Seriously??? It was just as bad last year. And the reason you start one of these is because that combined with the Giants first rounder next year is guaranteed to get you in QB territory.
