Plus, Bud’s going to declare Ward a bad pick if he’s AS good as McNair? Give me a break…

Less than optimal use of draft capital but it's a massive leap to think Ward is McNair like.....McNair was bigger, stronger, faster.

And fuck ESPN and the NFLN you pricks can't go to a commercial before the #1 pick.

Let us old-school football guys take a moment appreciate to the fact that the Titans earned the #1 overall pick the old-fashioned way.   Not by tanking or by trading up, but by simply being

I'd hate Hunter. The Titans best position is likely CB and you don't take a WR that high. If the Titans traded down to 3 and Carter went 2 I'd rather trade down again and maybe go for someone like Mem

The video someone posted recently actually showed him pretty special in this regard. I was actually surprised how well he threw with anticipation

Oilerman is my biggest conversion to Ward Hive member. It's great. I feel like The Rock getting Cena to turn heel

And having your own high pick and the Giants, if they cave, is plenty of ammo to trade up for a better prospect than what's available this year.

Which of these deals do you want to be the one trading up for a qb?  Maybe Vick?   https://www.espn.com/nfl/story/_/id/35429888/nfl-draft-no-1-pick-trade-history-1967-every-top-selection-changed-teams

I don’t think people know or remember what a great prospect McNair was.

I think he held the NCAA record for total yardage for a while.

They couldn't throw with anticipation the way Ward was consistently doing in this video breakdown. He was throwing the ball before receivers came open or out of their breaks consistently. I was shocked. Ward is a way better prospect than VY and Locker, those two picks were totally stupid. Ward's game translates to the NFL, whether he does it at the next level is another story

Special at it is a big stretch IMO but certainly I'd hope he'd be better at it than VY and Locker.

That all said, let's see how he does at the next level because the ACC is trash.

Oman is correct. Another point is I think with better receivers who demonstrate the ability to get separation or get open early we will see the plays where Ward runs around before throwing a risky throw, reduce greatly. He's legitimately waiting on receivers and attempting to get them in the place to make a play

Until the teams in position to pick a QB need a QB and won't trade.

So waste the first overall on a flawed prospect and not get more draft capital to make the team better. Got it. Sounds like a great way to be picking top 10 the next decade.

He was a man among boys in college.  Different era but he actually had ESPN showing Alcorn State games in 1994.....

QB doesn’t have to come first, but it’s the most important spot to fill and if THEY believe they can have a guy in Ward, they take him.

You act like the team has this one draft to get right and that’s not the case. Clearly patience isn’t a strong suit for you.

At its core building through the draft is a patient strategy.

The Titans WR's scream creating separation......the run around plays Ward does a lot will be sacks in the NFL.  If he's not getting the ball out quick, it will be ugly.

This is exactly why I'm persistent with the question. It exposes the alternative.

Levis???  Seriously??

This year's #1 pick can be used two ways. A potential franchise QB or to trade and acquire more draft capitol as well as an elite draft pick(Carter?).

The safest quickest route is the QB. That ones easy and what I believe the team will do.

The other option is trading the pick. They'd have to not love Ward and get a big enough haul to make it worth it.

As for starting Levis/Allen in 2025... Who entered 2024 as the starter? Levis??? Seriously??? It was just as bad last year. And the reason you start one of these is because that combined with the Giants first rounder next year is guaranteed to get you in QB territory.
