Jon Robinson comes out of hibernation

GMs rarely get 2nd chances like coaches do. I'm actually surprised Robinson has been interviewed multiple times.

What's funny is Vrabel should be branded every bit as badly as Robinson is. If we knew how much Vrabel had in terms personnel decisions he might even look way worse. The idiot was doing cartwheels when they drafted Willis.

He has total control in NE.....lol

Vrabel should have been fired after the Jags finale for the division

JRob's  three first-round picks from 2020-2022 will preclude him from ever garnering serious consideration for another NFL GM gig.   Wilson, Farley and Burks might very well be the single most useless

lol hearing QC talking about the importance of the OL…..

Next they'll have Meathead on saying someone should trade for Dillard!

JRobs's last three first-round picks:

Isaiah Wilson's NFL career:   3 snaps

Caleb Farley's NFL career:   332 defensive snaps, 0 INTs, 1 PD

Treylon Burks' career (3 yrs) -  53 receptions, 699 yards, 1TD

Three consecutive first-round picks....roughly 1300 snaps for their NFL careers combined.

Off the top of my head, the closest comparison I can come up with is the 2014 Browns:   their two first-round picks that year were Justin Gilbert (#8 overall) and Johnny Manziel (#22).    Both were monumental busts who played only a few hundred snaps in the NFL.

I'm not aware any other NFL GM who had such abysmal and abject failure three times in a row.    And if there was.....I'll guarantee you that once he was fired,  the guy was never again viewed as a legitimate GM candidate by any NFL organization.

Kinda like JRob.

The further away we get from his tenure the more clearly it becomes that Robinson deserves to go to jail for that shit. Injustice persists.

You have to be crazy not to credit Belichich too

He’s the greatest NFL mind in history

You mean the guy who had three winning seasons in ten without Brady, including one playoff victory?  That guy?  Or the guy who had his QB leave and immediately win the Super Bowl with a different coach while he went under .500 and year after going 12-4 with Brady?  That guy?

Name one coach who ever consistently won without a QB.

Even the best coaches have to have quality QBs.

Yes, QB is more important than HC but that doesn't mean BB wasn't one of the best coaches in NFL history.

What coach was racking up postseason wins or consistently winning without a good QB?

You proved my point.  It's rarely about the head coach.

I've made this argument a million times over. I remember you arguing back in the day it was more about BB.....

But Belichich has his own awesome resume, even as the DC of the Giants. Brady wasn't Brady in the first few SB wins either
