JRob's  three first-round picks from 2020-2022 will preclude him from ever garnering serious consideration for another NFL GM gig.   Wilson, Farley and Burks might very well be the single most useless

lol hearing QC talking about the importance of the OL…..

Next they'll have Meathead on saying someone should trade for Dillard!

GMs rarely get 2nd chances like coaches do. I'm actually surprised Robinson has been interviewed multiple times.

What's funny is Vrabel should be branded every bit as badly as Robinson is. If we knew how much Vrabel had in terms personnel decisions he might even look way worse. The idiot was doing cartwheels when they drafted Willis.

He has total control in NE.....lol

Vrabel should have been fired after the Jags finale for the division

Vrable pounded the table for panda and nearly busted a nut in the draft room when we drafted malik willis, that alone should be enough to completely disqualify him from being anywhere near player acquisition.

2021 Patriots is arguably his most impressive year ever

lol no it's not.  They went 10-7 and were clearly frauds all year, feasted on an easy schedule and/or games against teams like the Titans who had no players (remember that game, like half the Titans starters were out due to injury) lost three of their last four regular season games and got destroyed by the Bills in the playoffs.  His best year by far was 2001.  There's not a close second.

The point of a coach is to get results through others.   Belichick maximized Brady in a way no other coach has with any other QB yet.

He also won a couple for Phil Sims.

Interesting.  I thought Bill Parcells was the head coach in NY.  And Simms won one Super Bowl, not two.

They had a top 6 offense with Mac Jones at QB, Damien Harris at RB and 3 average at best receivers. Better than Bradys last year. About as impressive as it gets

Like I said, 2001 was by far his best year and there's not a close second.  I don't think people remember how mediocre that team was.  It's the same team that a year later missed the playoffs and a year before went 5-11.  They had basically a rookie QB who was at best a game manager at that point in his career.  He kept winning games, week after week, that they had no business winning.  I can write chapter and verse about that team, I remember it and some of those games that they won that they had no business winning like it was yesterday.  CBS recently ranked the last 25 Super Bowl winners.  The Patriots of that season game in at 25.  Talent wise I don't even think they were a top ten team.  I'd put the Titans, the 7-9 Titans who underachieved, maybe better than them just on talent.  I can't find a Super Bowl winner, at least since I've been watching football, who was as mediocre as they were.  Or even a Super Bowl loser.  Maybe the 2006 Bears were on that level but that defense was better than New England's.  I don't know, the 1994 Chargers?

If you want to discuss Belichick's greatness, start with 2001.  There's never been a better job any coach has ever done with a team as Belichick did with that one.  That's not hyperbole.

Eh one for Phil Simms, one for Jeff Hostetler.  2 super bowls rings as DC for the Giants, and the defense was 100% why they won those games.

Yeah, the head coach, Bill Parcells, had nothing to do with that.

What a bunch of nonsense.

OK. Your argument to my point that the offense was good in 2021 without Brady was to point out how good of a job he did with a game manager Brady in 01

They lost 3 of 4 to close the season and got destroyed in the playoffs by the Bills.  It was smoke and mirrors.  As well as they played midseason they got exposed as the season went on.

Nothing lasts forever. People eventually get past their prime, including coaches. Anyone who thinks Belichick's post-Brady career diminishes his 6 of 9 Super Bowl, 19 consecutive winning season, 13 conference championship appearance, 16 division title resumé is out of their minds.

Belichick' fingerprints are all over that success. Trying to claim it doesn't matter because talent is more important is like saying the steering wheel doesn't matter because the engine is what powers the car. It's ridiculous. They work in tandem. Bad engine? Car won't go far. Bad steering wheel? Hey there, Mr Tree... what are you doing out in the middle of the ro...=>%,#*a$*"&d?

I get what you're saying but I think the fact that he couldn't win before Brady and after Brady tarnishes his legacy.  It would be one thing if he was getting to the playoffs and just not advancing far enough but here's his ten seasons without Brady, including the one that Brady missed most of:

6-10

7-9

7-9

11-5 (lone playoff win against, ironically enough, the Patriots)

5-11

5-11

11-5

7-9

10-7

8-9

4-13
