You guys immediately put that on Trump and his supporters as confirmation that he/we are racist. Biden called Trump supporters garbage in response. Granted, Sleepy Joe hasn't thought straight for at least half a decade now. But he's somehow our stunningly competent current president of the United States with an expiration date of early 2025. Getting lectures about context from you is like getting coached up on Special Teams by the Titans LOL But he didn't say "all", he said "that I see". In the context of the response, to the garbage joke, what he was seeing or "looking" at were those MAGA who said it, enabled it, laughed at it, didn't apologize for it etc. It doesn't make sense that he was "seeing" every MAGA supporter not involved in the context. If you're in a Titans home game crowd and a bunch of Jags fans start a brawl in your section, and you turn to say "the only thugs I see are Jag fans" to the person next to you, that person would be a moron to interpret that comment as "oh he means every Jags fan even ones not here in this situation are thugs". Republicans are outperforming all expectations in the early vote with most of those being low/no propensity voters. Meaning Republicans arent even cannibalizing their day of voting base by surging in the early vote. These are new voters. They’re even outpacing Democrats in several meaningful states. Meanwhile Democrats are severely underperforming in early voting compared to 2016/2020 (some states by like 60%) and every notable “firewall” they maintained in previous elections is badly eroded if not outright shattered. On top of that already disastrous news, their early vote turnout is NOT largely compromised by low/no propensity voters. Meaning that some Hail Mary hope of Democrats storming the gates on day of voting and outperforming Republicans on the day of is entirely unrealistic. There’s a reason the Polymarket odds are 2/1 for Trump and still rising. There’s a reason the Harris campaign switched from joy to ramped up Nazi talk. They’re losing, and panicking. Hugely. All that’s left is potentially cheating, but with every lawsuit and fortification win in the courts, that seems less and less likely. Fighting to keep non-citizens on the voter rolls in certain states. Closing early voting hours before the day-end cutoff time in PA. Using lawfare to keep RFK’s name on the ballot in certain states. I dare anyone to defend any of that outside of attempting to subvert the will of legal voters. Every shady news story that involves voting shenanigans, as usual, is trending in one political direction. It’s disgusting more democrats don’t denounce this stuff. Too big to rig is a thing, and it’s trending in the right direction for Trump voters. All that’s left is surviving the inevitable shenanigans on Election Day, but if voter turnout for Republicans mirrors anything close to what it did in the last two elections - Trump wins bigly. And yes, even the popular vote is in play. Has been the whole time. The polls are just now catching up to the reality as they always trend closer to the truth the closer it gets to the election. I joined well before 2016 with a particular focus on security and tech accounts, and in time this turned into a fairly left leaning feed once US politics started to dominate everything around 2015 or whatever, not surprising given the well publicized left lean on professionals/higher education. It was mostly opinions and reactions from real people though, not content from professional alt-media or shit posters. Now, in this feed, I see speculative stuff like that post above dominate, and in this election cycle, faaaar more questionable left-leaning content and plenty of obvious misinformation like what I posted in here a few pages back. This cycle, it definitely seems the internet left has caught up with the misinfo machine, i.e. Twitter encouraging engagement farming at all costs. It's rare I see actual political content from those I follow, now. I still see decent analysis and more reputable stuff, but it is not as common as it once was. A while ago I made another account where I deliberately didn't follow anything that had an obvious political lean, and it is far more right-leaning than my original account. Not surprising given who owns the platform now. Lots of rage bait and Elon worshiping. LOTS of racist content, like pro-Nazi and strangely really explicit anti-Indian content (like, the country India). What's funny though is I still occasionally see a misinfo/low quality left leaning account too, like it hasn't quite figured out what content gets me going yet and is trying to draw out my leaning. Still mostly right stuff though, and like I said, some very extreme content despite no engagement from me to suggest that's what I'm there for. Funnily, on both "sides", basically the same content about this election can be found - we're going to make this a blow out, the other side's numbers are terrible, look how desperate they are etc. Anyway, it honestly feels like it has become a gamified platform for engagement $ and content from both sides may as well be produced by the same people (and may very well be).
