No, of course not. I can believe that Biden is not fit for office and that Trump is still a worse choice.

Yeah, I saw your reply on who you'd vote for. It had initially seemed this was changing your vote.

I would say Joe shouldn't be the nominee but, given who the nominee are / will be, he should win.

I don’t even think that would be a legitimate argument. The administration alone is argument enough to vote against Trump In my opinion.

Neither one of these guys would be hired to be a Walmart greeter. It's embarrassing that this is the choice our political system has given us.

Actually Biden seems like a perfect Walmart greeter.  I don't think Trump could be hired to do anything other than sell used cars.

Unless it was Biden's decision, the replace Biden talk is fantasy, but if he did decide to step down forcing a vacancy, then it would be up to the delegates at the convention, and since delegates are usually extreme and fringe, there is no telling who comes out from that but it would be a big fight and likely mortally wound whoever it is. But assuming all that, my brother put forth a good possibility - Joe Manchin. Assuming he did not lose too much Democrat base (crazies), he would help pull more no-Trump republican votes.

I think Manchin as the nominee might literally split the Democratic Party. If the liberals don’t turn out for the candidate he can still lose.

I'm not saying he should be the candidate or that he'd win but:

Imagine how stupid Gavin Newsome would have made Donald Trump look last night.

Yeah, a missed opportunity might prove the main loss of the debate, time will tell, but most any viable, well spoken,  candidate would have tore Trump apart.

I think Gavin Newsome should be the guy.  Ultimately Obama needs to have a talk with Jill Biden to get this done.  That's the only way he's dropping out.

It still would be up the delegates.

Many of the leftists here keep missing this point. You can't just replace Biden with whoever you want. Its up to the delegates and if you think that process would be clean you are as delusional as MAGA is.

He says as he steps out of the mist to project boogeyman status on the DNC.  If that's the game, at least give them credit for wisely installing Biden over Sanders in 2020.
