Some Good Talk about Treylon Burks.

I questioned it after I watched him take himself out of the Texans game by pouting incessantly on the sideline. He was slamming his helmet every drive and ultimately walked out of the offensive huddle and stormed off down the sideline. Levis and Spears had to go grab him and bring him back and tell him to calm down. It was all right in front of me.

Baby attitude.

That makes me like him more.

What the Titans did at WR this offseason speak way louder about what they think about Burks vs words

I'd guess the current Titans staff would have never drafted Burks with their analytical approach.    QC and Meathead simply saw a big WR who could run fast

Running 22 MPH doesn't really mean a lot. Short area quickness and the ability to create separation are way more important for a WR. It's what Ridley is so good at. Burks is a long strider who can run

Just think of the stupid stats that would get trotted out: "Treylon Burks is the first receiver in NFL history to have a 100 yard game without a corpus callosum"!

If he keeps getting concussed, he will have a cavum septum pellucidum, the defect that is often seen in CTE cases.

We were all having that same reaction as Burks that game. Everyone could tell he was the hot hand and instead Vrabel just ran Henry... probably, I'd guess, to kiss Amy's ass.

I definitely had to look that up. Pretty fucked up.

Given that none of us know why Burks was pissy that game. I think it makes little sense to draw conclusions either way as to how this reflects on his character. He's come off as a simple, well-meaning guy that is naive and possibly ignorant of what it truly takes to be a pro at this level. He didn't have great examples of veteran leadership to lean on as a rookie and had an oft-interrupted season with Hopkins last year. I know things have changed but it used to be pretty typical that it took receivers a few years to really "get" how to play in the NFL. Maybe he's one of those?

I forgot that game was the disaster Texans game where he had a right to be pissed off. He was open and Levis kept feeding Hopkins being doubled while Vrabel did his Meathead thing.

If he has a shot of being anything other than a big slot he has to develop better balance and awareness. He constantly pushes too far to the sideline on 9 routes outside, whereas he didn't have to deal with that in the slot.

I doubt he overcomes the concussions, but he does have legit NFL talent. He'll have to earn every snap from now on so maybe the light bulb turns on with added competition for snaps.

Love that you know this even though I have no idea what it actually means.

Off to a Google chase...

Burks has been beyond useless during his time in TN.  His Titan career can be summed up in 3 things: fall down trying to catch the ball, getting  hurt and going in IR.  JRob sealed his fate in the first round of the NFL draft.

Yall were laughing at me for saying we should dump him for whatever we can get. Now he will probably just be cut this offseason.

Do we even know what his injury is? I wouldn’t be shocked if Callahan just IR’d him for being a baby. The guy has been out of shape and a mental midget his entire career, in comparison to someone like NWI with way less physical abilities.

And I’m not just some hater. I really liked him his rookie year but he’s just shown no ability to combat adversity or come in prepared/in shape.

I'm sure they tried but lets be real, getting a 7th would be a tall order.

I think we could’ve got at least a 6th or 5th. There was still a small amount of hope about him.

It’s just amazing JRob drafted Panda, Farley, and Burkes in back to back drafts. 3 guys who just did not love the game of football.
