He's been on that bullshit for awhile now. In reality what I was saying is that we somehow almost lost that game with our rookie QB throwing 4 TDs. I took it out on Henry, instead of the fucking scrubs/busts because I hold him to an elite standard and in my opinion he knows he missed some big runs to seal the game. Probably went too hard on him, but the notion I would talk shit about Henry when I've been one here pounding the table for him and swatting off detractors like flies is hilarious to me. Russ can fuck right off with that bullshit. I call it like I see it, especially if a pattern becomes apparent. Could I be wrong, sure. Your intentions are usually decent. As a person that is above caring about status and doesn't care to make allies or enemies as long as arguments are honest... I see a pattern and I call it out. Never called you a simp... but I also didn't make up the idea that you sometimes play both sides and often swap sides very quickly. That's been many statements from quite a few posters before me.. for a long while. Leaning into an unnecessary / ticky-tacky and previously divisive argument over a player you've "pounded the table for" .... that also seemed a weird time to argue about - preceded by people on the Tannystans side starting to call you out... The timing was suspect. I read these situations as "the Tanny argument is over, now give a little to make peace with the Tannystans. " I do feel you believe Henry didn't have his best game. Fine... but I also still feel you were leaning into that, trying to play the balance in order to try and not be on the 100% receiving end of the mean girls bullshit. And all of that would be an incorrect conclusion. I was disappointed that the game wasn't sealed after the rookie QB put up 4 tds. Henry missed opportunities. I was too hard on him but the point was valid and then I was in my arguing phase and decided to stick with it. I let off the Tannehill stans because it's called grace. Nothing was ever more evident on live television in a sporting event than what we witnessed yesterday. That was my transference of aggression lol, not wiping asses so people aren't offended. OilerTitanHybrid
@Aramis I didn't play the total yards on Levis, but did play the over .5 TD's. All he had to do was throw 1 TD to win the bet. It was .5 or 1/2 a TD, so he only needed to throw 1. I didn't put a lot on it, not 500 - 800 like you might have seen me do here sometimes lol, just a few bucks on this one. titanruss, and Aramis 1

Letting them off the hook after one day is 100x the grace they would provide you. im too petty for that short of a turnaround but even then I'd let it go years ahead of those dudes. And this is where I disagree and why I was hard on him yesterday. He's still a special runner and was once again solid in the passing game. There were plays left on the field yesterday that had nothing to do with him being old. Mythos noted it as contact balance and that he could stand to lose some weight even if it's all muscle. He's still a top 5 RB. Mythos27, and GLinks

If you want you can start going in on the defense. They really let up after Levis started going off. Heineckie caught them off-guard. We did have some new pieces in the secondary but still; they almost choked that game away. GLinks

Even before the broken foot, he was less explosive and that's I'd assume that's due to wear and tear. As for Top 5, it's pretty meaningless given RB's are fairly interchangeable and he's literally getting what's blocked (YOE). You are not incorrect and read the situation properly except you were wrong about my intentions. I wasn't bridging the gap or keeping friends. In my mind the argument was so thoroughly done with as not to merit any further discussion. So then I argued about Henry lol.

If Heinicke played the entire game the Titans almost certainly lose in spite of Levis' performance and the offense putting up 28 points. The defense is a problem. titanruss, pat, and Mythos27

The defense is a problem. It ain't the defense. It's the philosophy and play calls. As soon as a statue like Heinicke comes in you stop playing off-zone, which works against a runner like Ridder. It was really obvious Heinicke was getting in a rhythm and seeing the soft spots in the zone. The fact they refused to change anything at all after the 3rd and 12 and then TD is crazy. It's very easy to know the right answer when the one you're using is completely incorrect. Statue backup QB begins threading your zone? Switch to press man and blitz! At least try it out. Like you're willing to put Willis in the game? And again after a fumble...yet you won't switch to a more aggressive defense for fear of a bad play? The Falcons have no receivers that actually scare you and we're still playing them like they have Tyreek Hill and prime Desean Jackson. I'm so sick of the soft zone and off-man coverage. At least mix it up or something. IsntLifeFunny
