Dershowitz is trying to spin it as a bullshit First Amendment issue.   I'd be very interested to hear Dershowitz' argument that explains how organizing and implementing a plan that includes

It's absolutely amazing how irresponsible Fani Willis was while pursuing one of the most consequential cases in US history. Even if she's not removed, just opening the door to the possibility is earth-shatteringly stupid and possibly allowed Trump to get away with his crimes.

An absolutely astonishing level of unprofessionalism and negligence for her office.

It’s unprofessional, potentially negligent. But people are not robots and unintended stuff happens. Did it put stank on the process, yes, and that’s hugely frustrating and disappointing. Trumpers were always going to say it was rigged, and this provides a convoluted foothold for questions to be raised.

Did their relationship affect the work, the case? Unlikely. And soon enough the focus will return to the fact that she has built a strong fact pattern along with several guilty pleas from Trump lawyers with key roles in his coup attempt.

Meh. She started dating a coworker. Couldn't care less.

Personally, I agree.

But she opened a can of worms on herself in an impossibly large spotlight that'll go down in history, either way. And she did it for some ass. There's a slam dunk case, and she lost sight of it. Better and worse people have done the same... but the impossibly large pedestal of this matters, whether it's right or wrong.

It's OK to say she fucked up, even though she technically fucked down.

She needs to own it so that the trial can proceed without any BS.

2025......  Replace Garland with Willis.

I complained about Garland when Obama nominated him.

Obama tried to curry to the right and it laughingly backfired anyway.

Just nominate liberal judges dummies!

It's going to proceed anyway.

I don't particularly believe Willis or Wade about the timeline of their relationship. I don't have enough background on the law to have any idea of what the true burden of proof is but if it's just what I think ... they're lying.

Pretty wild there's a legitimate possibility (I do think it's possible they get removed) that Trump could get away with it because of this.

I don’t know, they gave a pretty believable timeline based on him having cancer during the pandemic.

They absolutely were lying.  Cell phone data shows Willis and Wade phoned each other more than 2,000 times during the first 11 months of 2021 and exchanged nearly 12,000 text messages.   The data also suggests Wade arrived late at night at Willis's residence and departed early the next morning on more than one occasion.   This will now bring out charges of perjury.
