Before the bs starts, it should be noted that the US attorney who reached the plea agreement was appointed by Trump.

The reason nobody else but Trump is being charged is because nobody else deliberately and purposefully took the classified documents in their possession.     Nobody else spent two years refusin

I saw @LongTimeFan smoking a crackpipe, lubing up a bollard in the park with bacon grease and trying to hop on top while screaming "ooh daddy"

I can get 2 more people to say this as well.

Therefore, it must be absolutely and undeniably true, right?

No, there is no audio or photos or video or paper trails. Yes, we have argued for years online with hateful rhetoric. No, no one else besides me alone was there that day to witness it. Why would that matter? I and 2 others can confirm it's true, just ask.

@LongTimeFan is quite obviously a crack-smoking bollard-fucker and everyone is stupid for not believing my evidence.

unrelated side note:

if you know anyone looking to purchase pre-greased bollards, bacon, or that sweet sweet rock.. just shoot me a DM, i've got a warehouse nearby or you can check my webpage: www.baconbollards&crack.com

I believe it does have legs to further investigate. It's okay to disagree. Are you afraid they will find out Joe broke the law?

Life lesson: Not everyone is going to agree with you and your beliefs.

While this has been fun, it's fruitless. Have fun in the TR Politics echo chamber!

The Oversight Committee *IS* doing a full investigation.

Or perhaps you think Archer and the rest of the witnesses they’ve interviewed just showed up out the blue one day, knocked on Jim Comer’s door and asked to be interviewed?

From day one of the oversight committee’s highly partisan investigation of the Biden family, taking down Joe Biden has been Comer’s sole focus and purpose in life.

But despite the exhaustive efforts of Comer and committee Republicans conducted innumerable interviews, obtained  bank records,  and gathered mounds of historical data and financial transactions….they have yet to produce a single shred of confirmed verifiable info that points back to Joe himself.

The only thing their investigation has shown is that Hunter Biden is a slimy and dishonest opportunist….which has been common knowledge foe years.    We didn’t exactly need a committee to figure that out.

But of course, the anti-Biden crowd continues to believe and stand by their unsupported conviction that Joe must have been directly involved and masterminded the whole thing….even though every piece of actual evidence they’ve produced says otherwise.

Since our resident Republicans refuse to provide any sources for their allegations.....I'll help them out a bit.

Here's a link to the Oversight Committee's latest findings and their own synopsis in its entirety of the most recent bank records memorandum as obtained by the committee's investigation.

https://oversight.house.gov/release/comer-releases-third-bank-memo-detailing-payments-to-the-bidens-from-russia-kazakhstan-and-ukraine/

Below is a summary of the third bank records memorandum. The full memorandum can be found here.

  • Committee Staff is Releasing Payments from Russia, Kazakhstan, and Ukraine that Occurred During Joe Biden’s Vice Presidency: The Committee has now identified over $20 million in payments from foreign sources to the Biden family and their business associates.
  • Hunter Biden and Devon Archer Used Rosemont Seneca Entities to Bring in Millions from Oligarchs in Europe and Asia:  Using accounts nominally tied to Devon Archer (but using the familiar “Rosemont Seneca” branding), Hunter Biden received incremental payments originating from foreign sources, attempting to hide the source and size of the payments.
  • In February 2014, a Russian Oligarch Sent $3.5 Million to a Shell Company Associated with Hunter Biden and Devon Archer: Russian billionaire Yelena Baturina transferred $3.5 million to Rosemont Seneca Thornton, a shell company. Approximately $1 million was transferred to Devon Archer, and the remainder was used to initially fund a new company account, Rosemont Seneca Bohai, which Devon Archer and Hunter Biden used to receive other foreign wires.
  • In Spring 2014, a Ukrainian Oligarch Placed Archer and Biden on the Burisma Board of Directors and Agreed to Pay them $1 Million Each per Year: Burisma Holdings’ (Burisma) corporate secretary, Vadym Pozharsky, worked on behalf of the Ukrainian oligarch and owner of Burisma, Mykola Zlochevsky. Hunter Biden was initially hired by Burisma to work as counsel for the company, and Pozharsky and Zlochevsky met with Hunter Biden at a conference in Lake Como in Italy where they decided Hunter Biden would work on the board of directors with Devon Archer. Then-Vice President Joe Biden visited Ukraine soon after their first payments. Payments from Burisma for both Devon Archer and Hunter Biden were wired to Rosemont Seneca Bohai.  Payments were transmitted in incremental amounts to Hunter Biden’s different bank accounts.
  • In April 2014, a Kazakhstani Oligarch Wired the Exact Price of Biden’s Sportscar to a Bank Account Used by Archer and Biden: In February 2014, Hunter Biden met with Kenes Rakishev at a Washington, D.C. hotel. Rakishev worked closely with the prime minister of Kazakhstan, Karim Massimov. In April, Rakishev, a Kazakhstani oligarch, wired $142,300 to Rosemont Seneca Bohai. The next day, a payment was made from Rosemont Seneca Bohai for a sportscar for Hunter Biden in the amount of $142,300.  Archer and Biden then arranged for Burisma executives to visit Kazakhstan in June 2014 to evaluate a three-way deal among Burisma, a Chinese state-owned company, and the government of Kazakhstan.
  • Hunter Biden received millions of dollars in payments from Yelena Baturina, Burisma, and Kenes Rakishev. Vice President Biden had dinner with them in the spring of 2014 and 2015 in Washington, D.C.

David Weiss is also investigating Hunter. Garland just gave him special council status just to make republicans happy.

https://politicalwire.com/2023/08/11/garland-appoints-special-counsel-in-hunter-biden-case/

Attorney General Merrick Garland has appointed David Weiss to be special counsel overseeing investigations into Hunter Biden.

Garland had long insisted Weiss had the authority he needed to investigate Hunter Biden without special counsel status.

He's the guy nominated by Trump that Biden decided to leave on the case so as to not interfere

You know.. the investigation that didn't find anything except that Hunter didn't pay some taxes/filed them late and he lied on a gun registration form b/c he said he wasn't on drugs when he was. That guy.

hahahahaha that's your reply? oh, alright.

OMFG And why do you think the Republican led committee wanted to allow him to testify w/o being under oath?

Of course that's the response. Conservative media has been lying to them about what Archer actually said the entire time. I'll tune in for a few minutes of it on the radio occasionally to see what they're peddling at any given time and that is what they do.

Completely lying with no recourse to prevent them from their blatant lying.

https://www.nbcnews.com/politics/justice-department/attorney-general-garland-appoints-special-counsel-hunter-biden-probe-rcna99447

U.S. Attorney David Weiss was appointed special counsel in the ongoing probe of the president's son Hunter Biden, Attorney General Merrick Garland announced Friday.

Weiss will be responsible for the “ongoing investigation" of President Joe Biden's son "as well as for any other matters that arose or may arise from that investigation," the Justice Department said in a statement. Weiss, who was already overseeing the Hunter Biden probe and is based in Delaware, asked to be appointed special counsel on Tuesday and Garland agreed it was "in the public interest" to do so, the attorney general said.

The move was announced shortly before prosecutors from Weiss's team revealed in a court filing the plea talks over tax and gun charges against the president's son had broken down and the case would likely have to go to trial in California or Washington, D.C.

Follow live updates on the Hunter Biden investigation special counsel appointment

DOJ noted that Weiss was nominated by then-President Donald Trump in 2017 and confirmed by the Republican-controlled Senate in 2018.

Conservative media and leadership figures  know they can make up whatever cockamamie BS they want about Archer’s testimony ….because they know none of their viewers or readers will bother to read the transcript to see what was actually said.  They’ll willingly latch onto whatever they're told to believe, no questions asked.

They could have a headline stating “Archer interview proves Joe Biden fathered an illegitimate love child with outer space alien from Mars” and their readership would believe it hook, line, and sinker.

They go out of their way to promote things that are very clearly meant to be misrepresented and lies in the name of trying to show that neither side is more despicable than the other

This is exactly correct. It's a very strange form of cognitive dissonance. The need to equate things as similar is staggering when taken as a whole from the Republicans. Then you look at Fox News homepage and it makes sense from the outcome standpoint but not from the why part. I still can't grasp that one.

No it has CNBC described it that way. Again, you read somewhere an contort the info to your preconceived political bias.

Maybe it can all be tied to book deals and speaking engagements. If so, check who paid for the speaking engagements. It doesn't hurt and can 100% clear Joe, right?

That type of shit is 100% up for debate about the ethics of it but is allowed because of Citizens United, another zinger from the right to corrupt out politics.

I even got my 75 year old pop who is a hardcore conservative to agree it's fucked our politics sideways. The fact is though what you're talking about is now simply considered 1st Amendment protected speech.

Without a direct quid pro quo it isn't a crime. Without a conspiracy to commit a crime it isn't a crime. Until I see direct evidence that money changed hands for direct access to our government (which happens all the time) I don't see it. The dirty money shit is a spigot turned on by the Supreme Court.

Just for reference, I railed against Hillary getting 500k a speech from investors who obviously wanted something. But that is now our politics. Without conspiracy it isn't a crime.

totally agree. The median income in this country is around $60,000 I believe.  So if you limit contributions to 5% of that median, around $3,000 per year. Thats how much people should be able to contribute in total. Not $3000 for local and then $3000 for state and then $3000 for national candidates. $3000 total for all 3 levels.  EVERY contribution tied to a valid SSN.  No more super PACS, lobbyists, unions, $15,00/plate dinners, etc. Each candidate, local, state, federal gets their own unique id.  All money goes to a central entity that logs every donation ( take 1% of donation to run the agency)  Then the agency transfers the money to the candidates acct via wire.

Maybe if someone wants to give more then put a stiff  'tax' on it.  If you give any extra $1,000 then $900 goes to the VA or Medicare or pay down the national debt or ???

I also would say term limits so there are no pensions for elected officials.
