Another story came out this afternoon.. from John McClain  who likely has some contacts in the building.. according to McClain, JRob either said something or did something that insulted Amy..

Maybe he's a C K Louis fan....But seriously this makes sense that it was beyond just football operations.  And on the heels of a seemingly flawed roster and the drinking on the plane deal, it may have put her over the edge....

Vrabel gaining more personnel control is not a good thing - regardless of who the new GM is - I promise you that.

Vrabel's comment "who is he going to throw it to?" about the receivers/Malik is a little more cryptic now.    I loved Jrob, but I love AAS more. She ain't fucking around. Ya love to see it.

Can you sum up what he said? This was before or after?

He said that his sources stated that JRob said or did something that insulted her.. the implication , in my mind, was that he implied Amy wasn't knowledgeable about something and belittled her , but that’s pure speculation on my part

I could see him doing that.  Mansplaining his personnel decisions perhaps.

No, he's actually correct. No matter how much it hurts you are supposed to play the game. Usually an agent does this. Not sure he has one.

That's BS.  You don't know he's correct, and you hated JRob too, so please don't act like it's not tainting your view.

I was somewhere in the middle....those that thought he was a top 5 GM were delusional, but I also felt that his hits warranted a little acceptance of his misses...especially considering he was really the person that turned the franchise around.

I don't doubt JRob is hurt by the firing, but I don't think he's intentionally trying to be an asshole...he's just doing the logical thing and waiting until the emotional phase passes before making comment.  And we all know he can be emotional.

I do not believe Vrabel had anything to do with the Robinson firing

I also believe that Robinson was not fired for his job as the GM. We'll find out it was something else. Maybe the Downing DWI/alcohol on the plane and something else we don't yet know. The timing is fishy as hell.

I am starting to wonder if Vrabel and the Titans might mutually agree to part.  The new GM will want his own guy and Vrabel probably knows that.  He will be snatched up quickly though hopefully not to the Colts or an AFC team

Mutually agree to part when he's got 4 years left on his contract?

Possible.  If the new GM wants his own guy and Vrabel is unhappy with what happened they let him leave don’t owe him anything g but he can take another HC job.  Not saying this is the favored thing to happen but anything is possible after last week

No, you always say something when you leave. It's standard procedure. Of course I hated him. He ruined this team. I am just saying what is the norm out there, no matter how much you hate being fired.  If you still want to be a GM somewhere, you have to show some class, no matter how much you hate to do it.  His remaining quiet does not look good at all.

His 'remaining quiet' will be nothing when he stops being quiet.  You're just reading more into it because you want him to look bad.  If he's asked in an interview why he didn't speak out in the first couple weeks, he'll say he was upset because he thought we were building something special, and that he had a lot invested in the team....and they'll move on.

You can dislike that he destroyed what he built here, but it's over....he's out and now we can get back to being a middle of the road franchise hoping to make the playoffs every few years.
