Vrabel gaining more personnel control is not a good thing - regardless of who the new GM is - I promise you that.

Vrabel's comment "who is he going to throw it to?" about the receivers/Malik is a little more cryptic now.    I loved Jrob, but I love AAS more. She ain't fucking around. Ya love to see it.

Conley is actually a good blocker.

I don't think McMath will ever amount to anything more than a ST guy and occasional deep threat. Basically the big physical version of Khalif Raymond.

A big physical Khalif Raymond would be amazing.

As of now I'd take the actual Khalif Raymond.

Otherwise would you even be an Oilers fan?

Well there's that but it would more be watching some of the tards realizing how stupid they are....

The smart play is to ride Tannehill as long as you can while looking for the QBOTF concurrently.  Downgrading is asinine.

Realistically if they decided to go cheap at QB either cutting or trading Tannehill, your choices likely would be:

Baker Mayfield, Sam Darnold, Daniel Jones, Jacoby Brissett, Teddy Bridgewater, or Drew Lock.

Good luck

The bridge QB is a bad idea. Either run it back with Tannehill or hand it over to Willis and take the medicine on the way to Caleb Williams. In the latter scenario I would hope they go the whole way and cut Henry while they're at it.

If Vrabel gets a significant say, I wouldn't 100% rule out going for Brady. A few things would make it attractive to them:

1: He's Vrabels best friend

2: It's Tom Brady, he demands attention and sells tickets

3: Although clearly declining, he is not done as a goood NFL QB to this point

4: He never turns the ball over and is basically an additional offensive mind

5: He would likely take an extremely team friendly deal

Do I think come 2023 he will be a better QB than Tannehill? Hell no but Vrabel likes his buddies

I don't get the Caleb Williams hype.  Looks like another Kyler to me and some of that shit he does in the Pac 12 won't fly in the NFL.

They absolutely should cut Henry this offseason.  I doubt they will but they should.

Brady REQUIRES great pass protection, tons of shotgun plays, and really good receivers.  He'd be an awful fit here IMO.

I'm not advocating for him but he's going to be the first QB taken. I would re-sign Tannehill and run it back, but if they don't then getting a holdover doesn't make any sense. Just embrace the full on tank mode.

If they do keep Tannehill then Henry is 100% here next year and probably in 24.

I agree with you Bud , on the Henry part, but disagree on Caleb.. the league is going to more guys that can run a little, move well in the pocket, create off-schedule plays,, and throw from all sorts of arm angles, etc.. Hurts, Mahomes, Prescott, Darnold, Ridder, Tua, Jackson, Fields, Allen all sort of play this way..Wilson used to ..

That sounds like a God-send to this offense right now. He created a couple of opportunities that could've been contested catches with better balls.

Oh he will probably get open all the time. As far as catching the ball consistently or winning contested catches - totally different story.

We didn't have these roster woes until we paid big money to our QB. Its those big QB contracts you have to plan around. The whole benefit of blowing it up for 2023 would be to front load Big Jeff and Long as much as you can to open another window in 2024/2025. That window with a prime defense could be with Tanny if he takes a decent pay cut or it could be with structured around a cheaper QB that we give all the tools (rookie, journeyman, etc). But I can't imagine the plan is anything other than build the defense back up and make the offense just good enough.

On the first two he created some good separation and if the timing was there it would have hit him in stride. The guy has terrible hips but he's a burner.
