If JRob wanted to roll with Willis after what we've seen, then he's an even bigger idiot than I thought and it's also a recipe for Vrabel to get fired as well. So I can easily see him rebelling against it based on what we know now, not in April. Yeah, I'm sure that Robinson saw what we all saw with Willis and said we are rolling with this guy next year... Haha I didn't "turn" on Robinson necessarily. I can the reasons for the dismissal - but my guess is that the grass isn't going to be greener on the other side. The one guy who he didn't already know or have a connection to was lafleuer and he seemed forced on him and was gone pretty quickly. He's always going for guys from Ohio state or the Texans. And after pushing JRob out I think the potential for cronyism will increase. TNTitans, and DCTitan
tgo
And btw, there's a higher chance that they move on from Tannehill this offseason than there was before Robinson was fired. Vrabel wants a truly mobile QB. TNTitans

Think there is a nuance between turning on JRob and understanding the decision AAS has made, as I said earlier today I would not have had an issue if JRob had been given another offseason to right some of his missteps. I also think AAS firing a GM that had never had a losing season could set a performance benchmark that could end up being problematic for her in the future. This isn't even debatable, but that's nto how they wanted the team built. I don't think they needed to pick one over the other. They needed to do both and they didn't/couldn't because J-Rob fucked up the cap situation by signing too many bums. I like J-Rob but the rationale for firing him is solid. I don't know how much better we'll be though. Edited December 9, 2022 by Mythos27 TNTitans

We'd have been better off basically not signing any major external free agents ever and just re-signing all our own guys outside of Jonnu Smith who was overpaid in spectacular fashion. ctm
The Titans will move on from RT at some point. The question is when. I think AAS will be far less likely to allow it now due to the replacement risk and the big money involved in opening a new stadium. And that's not to mention the potential disaster that could await by putting a rookie QB behind this OL or even a slightly revamped one.

And the counter argument to the OL point as a coach is that there is rationale to wanting a mobile QB who can make off schedule plays and run around like a mad man when you don't have a good OL. And make no mistake, this OL will most likely not be a pass blocking OL next year either. Edited December 9, 2022 by tgo titanruss

It's funny because as much as we all get excited about the brand new toy in FA and as necessary as it is to dip into FA sometimes; the old school saying that the best FA signing is the guy you already had really rings true here. It's too bad that it sounds like J-Rob really shit on the relationship with Corey and Jonnu because both might be available this off-season.
