Where is the actual stadium in that rendering picture? Lol

It’s in the back. They’ll basically build where the parking lots are now between the current stadium and freeway. They’ll then tear down the own stadium and develop that land. Something that should have been done 25 years ago.

I’ve said many times that I don’t care where they play and what their name is. They could be the St. Louis stallions for all I care and I’d still root for them.  Of course the Oilers name and uniform was far better than the flaming bowling bowl logo abd uniform.  Thank God Amy is bringing them back in throwbacks for 2023.

That all said it would still be hysterical if the city fucks up the funding and the team where to move somewhere else especially to Texas and rebrand as the Oilers.  ??

You’ve said many times… BUDSOILERS… nuff said. They ain’t coming back homie.

You do realize that anyone on here that has an Oilers based name is doing it mostly trolling Tennessee fucks just because it seems to bother you so much. You better hope the funding fir the new stadium does get done cuz it will be brutal on here for you guys if it doesn’t!  ?

The issue is and has always been the city piece of funding and sounds like that will be a ways off because the price is still unknown.

Is this not a thread about the new stadium? The state budget passing committee with those bonds is a step in the right direction. Stop trying to act like this is nothing.

It's something but it's merely approving what the Gov already committed publicly weeks ago.  The Nashville mayor, on the other hand, has not done that and said it was the Titans issue..... :) .  Hence the city money is far more important to whether the project lives or dies.

He literally said exactly that.  Now I get it could be typical politician blather but he said the city was not in the stadium business and the Titans have to deal with the situation.  Now that doesn't mean the city won't come up with their share of the price.  I suspect they will find a way using taxpayer money.  They really have no choice if they want to remain an NFL town.....

If it’s literally what he said you would have posted a quote.

“We’re not in the stadium business, you know, we’re in the educating kids business, we’re in a safer street and road business,” Cooper said. “The Titans have been a very good partner for Nashville and it’s fun to have them, but fundamentally, the city is not in the entertainment or stadium business itself.”

Also, as a Nashville resident and homeowner, I can tell you nashville is bad at all those things that Cooper says Nashville is in the business of. Cooper has been an awful mayor and I voted for him in the last election. He’s gonna get smoked in the next one.

He said the city was not in the entertainment or stadium business.  Hence, he was not going to commit funds for it at least publicly.  I'm sure he's toeing the line for his own benefit but again the intent really doesn't matter here.  The funding from the team, the NFL, and the state is pretty set.  The city piece is the unknown and until that gets resolved, this is not a done deal.  I'll assume they work it out because the city really has no choice unless they want to lose the team.  Just as I've said on numerous occasions here.

I have faith they'll get it done.  I'll still have oilersreport.com on standby though just in case :)

Literally no one here said it was a done deal. I simply shared a tweet from someone reporting the state budget with the bonds included passed committee. I provided no commentary. I simply posted the tweet.
