That could change if things continue. True, but did you see that stammering spy chief the other day? People like him and Lavrov or oligarchs who step out of limne are facing execution, and they know it. My grandma was in Hitler Youth and lived under Nazi and Russian rule as a child. I heard enough stories from her to understand that many Russian people and others in the government are probably in sheer terror right now. Whoever has the courage to "do the right thing" with Putin will be a hero forever. Have you let General Alcibiades go on the internet offensive yet? You know how Patton hated those fucking Russians huh? I guess we should have let him fight them when he had all the troops there huh? It’s highly expected that the Russian market will collapse on Monday. Is that suicide or “suicide”? Because apparently in Russia, it’s not unusual for opponents of Putin's regime to commit suicide by 2 bullets in the back of the head or accidentally falling out a window. We cannot do a no fly zone. The Russians can’t back down now. If they start razing cities to the ground from the air then it becomes a different situation. Also, I would have to think Biden let Erdogan that he can not blockade Russian naval forces in any direct way. Open conflict with NATO is an endgame no one wants to see. Even though Germany is a big part of the reason we're here, they really need to be the primary face of this. They're the one nation Putin has a semi-decent relationship with and, if this is to be de-fused, it will be with the Germans leading it. I admit that I winced when I read that they're directly arming Ukraine. That's probably not a good tactical move for them to do that, in particular. All the aid to Ukraine needs to come from an international effort, and leave it at that. Germany should keep up the illusion of a "peace partner" because they hold the key. headhunter, and ChemEngr79

I’m with Poland that Ukraine should immediately be admitted into NATO. Open conflict with NATO is inevitable. Putin’s aim is to stay in power, he can’t do that by starting a nuclear war. We’re going to have to fight them at some point, may as well do it before letting hundreds of thousands of innocent people die. That’s just my opinion - it of course won’t go down that way in the immediate term. Edited February 27, 2022 by tgo
