9 Nines Posted April 3 Report Share Posted April 3 (edited) From what I can gather today, something is wrong with the US military. The A-10 that was shot down is for ground support. It is a sitting duck to air defenses and should not be in the air unless air defenses have been eliminated. Also its purpose is to support ground troops by shooting enemy's armored ground vehicles. Why was it being used - rescue maybe but that is not its purpose? Why is the US military working with flawed intelligence in air defense assessments (it should not be in the air if the enemy still has air defense)? Future prices are still just a bit over $100 but if this war continues, I guess all prices will be near $150. That would equate $5+ per gallon of gasoline and probably 6 to 7 for diesel. People have a hang-up with whole numbers, especially 5s.
