Not great.

Today is a great opportunity to point out how insane this was. The reason they want to do a purge is so that next time they do a January 6th it's successful. If Trump has his guys in some strategic roles instead of people with integrity that day goes a lot different.

The path forward for the GOP was working.

1. Distance themselves from Trump

2. Tap into dissatisfaction with public education

3. Tap into dissatisfaction with the economy

However.

The Jan 6 hearings are blowing up #1.  The Supreme Court rulings have distracted the ability to use #2 to appeal to suburban women.

#3 remains an issue but it’s not as universal as people think.

Rep. Lauren Boebert (R-Colo.) says she is “tired” of the longstanding separation between church and state in the U.S., adding that she believes “the church is supposed to direct the government.”

In a Sunday speech at the Cornerstone Christian Center in Basalt, Colo., ahead of her primary election on Tuesday, Boebert argued that “the government is not supposed to direct the church,” falsely claiming that dividing religion from the system of government was not what the Founding Fathers intended.

“I’m tired of this separation of church and state junk — that’s not in the constitution. It was in a stinking letter and it means nothing like they say it does,” Boebert said, earning a round of applause from the audience.

American Taliban

This is somewhat of a misnomer. Women have rights to abortion under the Taliban in more instances than in many states in the US.

I heard a report from NPR that the TN AG went after a law saying women have up to 6 weeks to get an abortion in Tennessee before the 30 day limit on the trigger law sets in place where no abortions are lawful except to protect the life of the woman (lol the retards do not understand how murky this situation is at all). He’s trying to ban abortions right now that won’t be allowed in a month…you know because he actually really cares.

It’s so completely fucked when you think about it all. Cut off funding to mothers who have kids, education, child care, time off for mothers having children, healthcare for women…all those things have been voted down by Republicans. Pre-born is their new term. It’s so beyond stupid I can only laugh.

Dead people in this country have more rights than women now. That isn’t hyperbolic. You can’t take a dead person’s organs to save someone unless they agreed to it while alive. A woman does not have that same right to bodily autonomy. She is a second class citizen now.
