And yeah, our country has more guns than people. The majority of those guns are currently owned by Trump supporters. They’re more likely to own an assault rifle than a can opener... And what do you think they'll do? Nothing. They're pussies or they wouldn't have all the damn guns. Put the mob leader behind bars and the mob will quickly disperse back into the dark with the other cockroaches. luvyablue256, and pat

I’ve already said the rule of law is more important, but the idea they would just sink into the darkness isn’t real. They’ve been armed and radicalized. luvyablue256

Exactly, those dolts have burned through their ammo and run down the batteries on their walkie talkies. They don't have the juice. I'm more worried about complacency among Democrats. Need to remind people why it's important to get to the polls no matter how hard Republicans try to make it. luvyablue256

There’s a significant subset of republicans that don’t live in reality. They only accept news that affirms their beliefs. And most are religious. We’ve got many references to doing “God’s work” is not unviolent. I saw a Facebook meme today Biden has cancelled all student debt. With likes. They don’t care about reality. When reality means nothing, where do we go? IsntLifeFunny
Starkiller
I was listening to Pod Save America and they made seemingly an important point. The only way for Trump to be sure to avoid a conviction is to win the 2024 presidential election. oldschool, MadMax, OILERMAN, and 1 other

Sure, he's the one that's capitalized on all of this but the ease in which the right wing propaganda machine can manipulate a very large segment of the Republican base and thus control all Republicans has been exposed. This does not end w/ Trump. He is the most current and prevalent danger but he's not the cause. He's just exposed the weakness. We've now got 1 party focused on power at all cost over policy while the other keeps trying to focus on democracy and working w/ a party that doesn't really want to work w/ them. A Republican president can’t pardon him from state charges. But being president pretty much eliminates any active case against him. I expect Trump to run again. He is pretty much a lock for the nomination if he does run.
reo
Just now, Starkiller said: A Republican president can’t pardon him from state charges. I didn't say being president wasn't his best way out. I'm saying being president possibly isn't his only way out. What happens if Trump is in FL and indicted by NY but the FL gov refuses to turn him over then the federal government backed by the DOJ backs FL? It'd probably go to the Supreme Court and I doubt anyone knows what happens from there. And that's just the first possibility that comes to mind. Don't be so quick to think a man as immoral as Trump won't think of some option. I have no doubt Trump will want to run in 2024 but at 78, I have serious doubts that he'll be able to garner the support he has now. But this really misses the point of my post. The point is that Trump isn't the real problem here. He just exposed the problem.
