Are we truly going to indict this guy or keep punting on 3rd down and justify it with the need for more bureaucracy? Not w/ this guy. This is a top level prosecutor. He doesn't take the case to punt. I have defended Trump against all the bullshit the left throws against him. That said, he is an ass. I liked his policies, but not the person. Btw, you and many others here do nothing more than spew left wing media talking points. Pretty hypocritical of ya. This is literally what anyone GOP post trump would say. Like... verbatim. Their point stands about you parroting talking points. There's a ton more disagreement among the democrats here. Harder to say they are parroting when they disagree half the time. reo, nine, and OILERMAN

All joking aside there's not going to be a bigger ass than Trump. So why do people Republicans continue to support the guy when there's so many more qualified people who could enact the same policies but wouldn't be a complete jackass and crook? For the most part, the only people still openly supporting him are people I would call the true Trump believers. There's still a plurality of Republican voters who love Trump. The rest would love to be rid of him, but will tolerate him if need be. What you've explained is why you see so many Republicans trying to pump up DeSantis. They know Trump and Trumpy candidates are losers in general elections. They'll try to oppose Trump to prevent him from being the nominee, but if he's the guy they'll support him because they still view the alternative, Democrats, as worse. It never should have gotten to this point. He’s a bad guy now but he was also a bad guy in 2015 and 2016. And enough people knew it but yet still voted for him. I was a Hillary supporter, so obviously there's some bias there, but it seemed obvious that Hillary was definitely the lesser evil even if you weren't one. I guess I understand the mechanics of how it happened though. He won in the 2016 primaries with pluralities because of the fractured primary field and winner take all primaries. It's not like most of their voters loved him. Then all it took was an opponent who was literally the next most unpopular candidate of all time for him to squeak out a victory. Partisans and independents alike were willing to accept uncertainty of Trump over the devil they knew. I think it's worth noting that once Trump had a track record, he's caused massive Republican underperformance in 2018, 2020, and 2022. Once it was put on record how bad of a man he actually is, enough have realized it and vote accordingly.
