Dude - it’s been nearly 20 years. It gets to be idiotic to expect anything else at some point.  20 years and 3 different top draft picks who were supposed to be the guy...

at what point do you just accept it’s not going to happen?

LOL. Grow up. Go be a Browns fan then, they haven't had to wait at all.

248 and 3TDs.   Mariota just rammed his fist up Omans ass and turned him into a hand puppet.

After re-watching the first half and rewinding plays several times....I feel a lot better about Mariota's performance.   I'm not saying it was a Mahomes-esque showing or anything....but compared to pr

mariota left about 4 plays on the field today and came away with 3 TDs and no TOs and no even close to INTs mayfield threw a TD to the other team, took a safety, fumbled on a sack, threw 3 picks,

And franchise qb's are hard to acquire.  And not everyone has them.  Are you going to stop watching just because they don't have one?  Sounds ludicrous to me.

It's much smarter to just be a bandwagon fan of whoever is the best team if you aren't willing to put up with your team failing all the time.

There is something about having your team win after a long period of losing that makes all the time you invested (even all the bad years/seasons) that makes it all worth it.  I can't really explain why that is.

20 years man? I think I left the bandwagon label a long time ago

Go talk to a Red Sox fan lol.

But if you aren't that committed then yeah you've lost interest.

20 years isn't long enough my friend.

This is how the NFL works.

Those are rarely fans though. They're the ones asking about the Super Bowl halftime show.

Ladies and gentlemen.  The pussy generation.

You have no idea what generation I’m from. Wtf - do what you want man.

If you were a fan through McNair and have sat through Young, Locker and MM - plus all the journeymen in between- and now face the reality of another minimum 3-5 years before the possibility of a franchise qb .. I don’t see how anyone doesn’t question why they waste their time.

It just gets to be beyond idiotic...

To be fair, you're wrong on the timeline.  With the rules and all, you can usually tell maybe within 2 years whether or not a guy can "play".  The 5 years is an exaggeration.

But umm they have to start winning somewhere in there for that to work.

That's what I'm saying. It's actually smart to just watch and root for the good teams if it's too taxing to root for your home team but you enjoy football

Do the math from young to locker to mm .. pretty sure 3-5 years is pretty close

@Pragidealist... when you don't care is when you stop watching/paying attention. There's no emotion at all, just detachment.

You are full of emotion and attachment right now. You still care. You're just sick of the shit. I get it. I'd just put it out of my mind for a while. Later, if you find you just don't have any give a shit left then make your break. And fuck anybody that doesn't get it. They don't have to get it. It's your time, energy, and money. Not theirs.
