NashvilleNinja
That's not going to set us back 5-10 years like some here believe, trust me. We finally get a REAL offensive minded HC and a switch the 3-4. It's about fuckin time. I'm not close-minded... I'm open to what he'll bring... but I'm really skeptical at the onset. Having said that... it probably is a step up from Munch. I'll be rooting just as hard for him as I was for Fisher for years and for Munch the first year and a quarter. Go Whiz! ONUV
i'm impressed with webster's ability to get a coach another franchise wanted. we're relevant! MamlngEnvy, and SuperFreak90
Starkiller
Why do you guys think he chose titans over lions? Not sure what else plays into it, but I think any new coach to the Lions needs to be wary of Megatron. The guy is great and pretty much their only great offensive player. But he's 29, is coming off a season of injury issues, and look how bad they were offensively without him. And Stafford can't beat anyone good. volntitan
Would going 3-4 truly revamp the Def, as far as players. Just wondering if the increased size we went on the DL will help and seems Ayers and Brown could be solid rush LB
AvgJoe
I've always liked him, but my concern was about QB's. I guess he explained that. Great hire
cenj
Not a Rivers fan. One more reason not to like it. Now the defense has to be revamped, after the improvement we saw this year. You're looking for reasons to be upset -- I understand, it's hard not to when you don't like the hire. But honestly, the 3-4 switch is not a big deal. Our front 7 looked really bad this year, players regressed (except Casey), and we have several players who might excel with the switch. Plus, it totally depends on what type of 3-4 we run -- some schemes aren't really all that different.
Pragidealist
He has 9 years experience as either an NFL OC or head coach. By far, the most experience candidate available. Still say the report that 'Titans front office has questions about Locker' was a signal to Whisenhunt that the Titans were open to moving on. Wouldn't surprise me if he got a 5 year deal in order to keep his QB options open. I think that came from the exec that was leaving. Those conversations can be had privately. Until otherwise informed, I'm going to assume he likes Locker and thinks he's a great fit for his offense--- only way for a quick Titans turn around
Cyrus
I'm excited to see who Whisenhunt brings along on his staff. To me, this is one of the biggest positives about him. Omar, Jonboy, and Bluth

TitansFaninAZ
Bullshit hire. He's likely bringing Russ Grimm with him and our OL is going to be shit for as long as he's here. Garbage. earlers
