cenj
I absolutely didn't want Quinn though. I'm just glad we are going with an offensive-minded coach, and one who can build a productive passing game. Whether he's learned from past failures or not, we'll just have to wait and see. JLocker10
I think he chose TN over Detroit because he liked the GM more and felt like he fit bet with Webster. He knows he is only as good as the guy he shops for the groceries. He must be comfortable with Webster as his partner. They just mentioned on the radio that Whiz was really impressed with Webster
luvyablue256
Let's be honest here. Quinn had absolutely nothing to bring to the table as a HC compared to Whisenhunt. Don't fall for the Marlboro man mustache, folks. currage
NashvilleNinja
Rivers vouched for him Not a Rivers fan. On 104.5 they just said one of the issues with the Lions and Whiz was the Lions were reluctant to moving to a 3-4 I think we're switching to one One more reason not to like it. Now the defense has to be revamped, after the improvement we saw this year. earlers
CMJ
There was something about him I always liked. Wanted him as an OC last year. I'm looking forward to what he brings to the Titans. Same here.
scine09
I posted several times since Munchak was fired, and even before Munchak was fired, that Whisenhunt was my #1 choice. So I couldn't be happier. To me he was the best guy on the market (better than Lovie Smith or Bill O'Brien) and the Titans got it right. Great job by Tommy Smith and Ruston Webster! That's not going to set us back 5-10 years like some here believe, trust me. We finally get a REAL offensive minded HC and a switch the 3-4. It's about fuckin time. Me either but he isn't the type to say platitudes This d is a hybrid - shouldn't be too difficult to transition

Starkiller
The 2014 season probably doesn't have a great deal of potential. Seems like a perfect year to revamp the D.
MIKE75
I like the hire and i think he will do his best to bring this team back to being a contender again. We could've done much worse i sure didn't want Caldwell and i wasn't really sure about Quinn who only coached in Seattle one year on defense and has never had head coach experience.Zimmer would've been my first choice but i'm fine with Whisenhunt i think he learned from mistakes in his first stint as head coach which will make him better the second time just like Belichick,Shanahan,Vermeil and a few others have done before him. Most of all i'm glad we are finally done with the Oiler connections and they are a thing of the past. ctm
He has 9 years experience as either an NFL OC or head coach. By far, the most experience candidate available. Still say the report that 'Titans front office has questions about Locker' was a signal to Whisenhunt that the Titans were open to moving on. Wouldn't surprise me if he got a 5 year deal in order to keep his QB options open.
Popular Post Guest
Whisenhunt played under Gibbs for a year, coached under Cowher and won superbowl, coached the Cardinals in a Super Bowl, and reinvigorated Rivers career this season. He's coached Roethlisberger and Warner. He was by far the most qualified coach looking for a HC job. He deserves to be questioned for Kolb but other than that his resume is littered with success. cenj, scine09, Bluth, and 2 others
code
Personally I like a 3-4. We don't have anything close to the personnel for it. But I have always liked the multiple looks it allows. I wonder if Casey and Klug can work on the outside? I have no doubt Hill and Johnson can at least in the short term play the nose. Morgan is probably too small as a 3-4 end, but maybe he can play it. I would guess Ayers would slide into the middle. Brown and Gooden are on the edges, and McCarthy gets the other inside slot (think he played in a 3/4 at Miami. Really, I guess I am most excited about a change to a 3-4. No good reason. Just like the formation.
