All this second guessing about Julio. Everyone here was busting a nut when we got him. I, myself, ran to a casino to bet on winning the AFC just based on the rumors of his imminent signing. A healthy Julio and AJB was fantastic on paper at the time. I fault JRob on numerous failings (especially Wilson and Farley), but on Julio, he gets a pass from me.

And the Packers and Falcons thought LaFleur and Arthur were the geniuses....lol suckers!
-
There's an excellent chance we end up worse rather than better. Vrabel is supposedly a fan of Jack Easterby.
-
Whichever one wanted Willis is the one who should have been fired. If that's JRob, works for me.
-
This must've gotten nasty recently. She could have moved JRob up in a different capacity after the season, and let Cowden make the personnel moves. She simply fired him.
-
It can't be a coincidence with the timing. Letting a player like AJ go has massive ramifications. Just ask Bill O'Brien re: Hopkins
-
I think JRob was done in just by being too clever by half with early picks. Meanwhile, Dallas makes the picks a 12-year old would make, and nail them every time.
-
I don't like this move without at least having tried coaching changes. No way in HELL Mike Munchak doesn't get more out of Radunz and numerous others than Carter has gotten.
-
Definitely would have thought a round of coaching changes would have come first. Namely, Downing, Carter, and Auckerman.
-
This is absolutely stunning. There must have been a complete meltdown behind the scenes.

Maher has been pretty up front about his issues with the left now. I think if you were trying to make a living as a politically incorrect standup comedian these days, you'd probably be done with the left too. -
Generally, the reaction to discovering an instance of massive fraud is: let's use this as a learning tool. we'll form a committee to evaluate the oversight and come up with strategies to prevent this type of incident moving forward. One guy in fleet management forgot to close the seal doors to the underground parking garage, and we lost 70 government vehicles in a massive flood. He wasn't immediately terminated. Just offered the option to retire vs face possible termination or suspension/decision-making leave. And a committee was formed to investigate the steps to be taken for severe weather.

As someone who's worked in government for the past 15 years, I can definitely say that there certainly are standards for every single thing imaginable, and entire departments of people set up just to examine the standards, but the accountability part never really occurs. In most cases, it's just laziness, but it IS political in a lot them.

The amount of welfare fraud that goes on (and Cares Act fraud, for that matter) is so massive that no one would believe the numbers were real if they heard them. Send him to prison. Find people doing this kind of thing and make an example of them is what I say.

https://edition.cnn.com/2022/07/07/politics/president-biden-white-house-message/index.html "Several officials say Biden's tendency to berate advisers when he's displeased with how a situation is being handled or when events go off poorly has trickled down the ranks in the West Wing, leaving several mid-level aides feeling blamed for failings despite lacking any real ability to influence the building's decision-making. That's contributed to some of the recent staff departures, according to people familiar." So, Biden is frustrated because the message is bad and chaotic. He lashes out at staff for it. That makes them more likely to leave. Which creates a bad and chaotic messaging department. It's a vicious circle." How exactly does this comport with his statement upon taking office?:

This is one of the better stories I've read in a while....elephant tramples woman to death. Later, at her funeral, the same elephant returns to trample her dead body again in front of her family. https://dailycaller.com/2022/06/13/trampling-elephant-india-funeral-maya-murmu-reports-odisha-india/

Luke warm. We certainly needed a TE, but the reports I've read say he's a career backup at best.
-
He serves a purpose. Best pick we've made, which is quite sad. Edit: I'm good with Burks, but I consider that replacement, rather than addition. Phillips is actually a potential addition with impact.

I saw that podcast. Tim Pool made her look like a total fool. She's gone, as well she should be.
-
Give him a chance. It may turn out way better than people are thinking. I think they should remove the re-tweet button, and force people to use only original content like it was before 2014. Some of the experts and sociologists I've read say that the social media became a cesspool primarily due to the re-tweet button.

Hey, that's a 4-star Admiral you're making fun of. Pretty sure she was at Guadalcanal.

I see that chart as being pretty accurate. The natural left lean of the broadcast, legacy media, especially in the past decade is because they're hiring so many young activist types to try to attract young viewers in order to secure their future. That's especially the case with the NY Times and NBC. Once those young activists get in the door, they're taking over your operation....period. They'll intimidate everyone with threats and accusations of racism/bigotry, and drive out any middle of the road voices. Bari Weiss had a really good piece on this a year or so ago. They've dug their own graves by allowing this. 50 years ago, 75% of Americans trusted the news. Now it's probably 20%-25%. And in those responses, they're not talking about the extreme, partisan new sources like Breitbart, OAN, Slate, or HuffPost....they're talking about the NYTimes, Washington Post, ABC, CBS...the main broadcast news sources. Those brands used to be above the fray and trusted by almost all. But they blew that. -

Headphones will be the death of us all before it's over. My dad was a Santa Fe conductor for 20 years and killed hundreds. He said it was funny that everyone would try to beat a train that was approaching a crossing at high speed, but if the engine was just sitting there idling near the crossing, everyone would be scared to cross, without fail. Even if you waved at them to go. -
Yeah the urban intellectuals have everything all figured out. No problems at all. We should all follow their lead.

I'm talking about the debate climate not the conflict itself.
