Too many unknowns at key positions makes it hard to give this team many wins. OL is a huge question mark. QB, too. I like Cam but who knows if he progresses? First time head coach. New system for everyone. Defense will be nasty and keep us in games and better targets should make offense more productive but who knows? I think 6 wins or above is achievable and would be promising.

There are always idiot outliers but the overwhelming consensus was Alt was the best LT by far, and that we all wanted him to be a Titan. Hell I don't even remember folks saying Latham was the next best choice. I would say most of the board was dubious of him as a LT in the NFL and were wary of drafting Latham that high.

What fucking difference does it make? Alt was gone. Now it sounds like we did err in Latham over other availabilities, but we had no shot at Alt.

For one, I dont think a young QB learning to win is a stupid throwaway moment. Is it worth a drop in the draft? Maybe, maybe not. In this case I think it worked out well. I would rather have Tate and the other guys we got than any of the guys drafted ahead of him. Of course the number one pick, had we gotten it, would have been worth a ton so in the balance yeah it would have been best to get the #1 pick. But I think it is silly to dismiss the value of a young team and QB learning to win and finish a game.

I don't understand this talk about Oliver being such a great STer. I hope it's true, but how the fuck can we say that? How many ST plays has he been in on? The guy played in like two games last year. Maybe the team's best STer? Based on what?

If it comes down to him or Restrepo for a final spot on the 53, I think I'd rather have this guy. The last WR is not going to see the field barring catastrophic injuries, and this guy could be active for STs and could easily contribute on some plays. Unless he's dumb as shit, he should be able to figure out some designed plays, lead blocking plays, gadget plays, decoy stuff, etc.
