I am really having trouble finding the negative in this. We pushed him further away from player personnel and power, for good reason it seems. And he wanted to go somewhere where he can fuck up anot... er "have more responsibility."

Well, he played like shit for a #1 WR and he's 31 coming off injury. If he hits the juvenation button that would be awesome but the guy has already shown signs of falling off

The oline guys look like tomato cans. There will be better guys on the garbage pile after cuts.

@OILERMANWho you have as the funniest first round cut? Too early for me - I think we need to see one or two guys show out at a practice catching against air or in a preseason game schooling future garbage truck drivers, and folks oohing and ahhing.

Not out of the realm of possibility. Esp because there's a decent chance Ridley goes down and/or father time catches up.

The S we gave guaranteed money to could make the 53 if he is a good STer. The Montgomery WR could truly be a diamond in the rough that we knew more about than anyone else so I could see him making the PS, or maybe the last WR if he plays STs. One oline may make the 53, although it's a long shot, and one or more oline could make the PS. That's the upper limit of what we get out of this group IMO.

He was a rookie second round pick who produced as a WR on a total shitstorm of an offense. I don't overvalue him but I do see value and promise. WRs, esp ones drafted for traits rather than production, take time. If anyone is saying he's going to be great that's stupid, but it is just as stupid to say we have already moved on.

I just don't see it that way. Signed Robinson - he's a 3rd WR/slot. Drafted Tate, hoping for a #1 or great #2. Ridley is all but done and anything we get out of him this year is gravy. That's only two solid receivers, one of which is a slot guy and the other of which is a rookie. We didn't do anything else at the position. I kind of read that the opposite, that they have hope that Dike and/or Ayomanor will develop.

Ok then I don't know what I'm talking about because I thought Dike was drafted to play on the outside. Robinson seems like a completely different WR than Dike.

Hunter wasn't just Deion though. He has been hyped for a long time. He was the number one recruit (by at least one of the evaluation sites) when he shocked the world and committed to Jackson State out of high school. Then followed Deion to Buffalo. The guy has been considered a blue chip player since his junior year of high school

I think I like it better the way it worked out. The odds of Faulk panning out vs Rutledge panning out are higher, IMO.

Dike hasn't been supplanted at all, what in the world are you talking about? The choices aren't: (1) we are stacked at WR so therefore don't need one vs. (2) Dike isn't the guy so he needs to be replaced. Have you seen our WR room? Even after drafting Tate?

Well we fucking drafted him now and he hasn't even played a down so I don't get what's up with the Tate Hate (tm) at this point. Let's all hope for the best because there is not a damn thing else anyone can do about it. Plus those guys are getting annoying as fuck. We get it. We got it 10 pages ago. There's no guarantee Tate will be a badass, unlike all other players drafted who are guaranteed to be badasses. lol
