  1. Past hour
  2. I'm a weirdo in that I actually believe the Ohtani story. You have to realize Japan is a super high trust society. People are naive and not cynical enough to think their friends/colleagues could steal from them. If Ohtani was the raging gambler then he's never taking a deferred contract. I also work at a casino less than two miles away from the Dodgers spring training facility. Nobody has ever seen Ohtani here.
  3. Coaching matters, the difference between callahan and whoever they were going to temporarily replace him with(McCoy) wasn't .
  4. Idk, deom the broadcast angle it looks like he didnt want to get flagged so he pulls back and tries to deflect the pass instead. Like you said though, the other angle he looks like he couldn't decide what he was going to do so he kind switched back and forth a bit and never finished the motion to do either. The only other thing it could be is that its a clip of the jets owner playing madden and a player glitched out. He loves him some madden.
  5. I really dont know if I would even bother ranking his games. They are all some good here some bad there. Im just happy to see he is starting to build chemistry with dike and helm
  6. Same reason they wont play the 2nd(3rd?) coming of our lord and savior at wr.
  7. I still can't believe how cowardly both Callahan and now McCoy have been with some of their 4th down decisions over the first 8 weeks of the season, seriously what the hell are they fearful of this team absolutely sucks and getting blown out most weeks anyway there is literally nothing more to lose. Coaching not to lose rather than coaching trying to win is right up with the worst traits a HC or interim HC can have.
  8. A few months back I was listening to this podcast that talks about the english language and im pretty sure they brought this up. Something like it comes from the roman word sclavus but that words connection to slavus was in question for some reason or another I can't remember. Either way. It is a pretty interesting and funny podcast if the history of language is something you are into. https://youtube.com/@wordsunravelled?si=Lmp9P1KcIdzkZn-g For people who really dont care I would still recommend the episode on curse words.
  9. So was this Cam's best game so far? it feels like for this game there is less to add when finishing the statement "he did okay, for a rookie, except for...". Nearly his highest yardage total, only 1 turnover, no fumbles!! not a crazy amount of sacks. Probably should have had that big TD play to Ayomanor.
  10. I'm not going to be angry with a coach for losing to the Chiefs with the best iteration of Mahomes.
  11. I also apologize for initially thinking we drafted the first lesbian in the history of the NFL. Looks like he's going to be a stud WR (by our standards at least).
  12. Today
  13. He's still alive! Experienced! Probably can't remember his own name
  14. Just watching some highlights, and came across this - what the fuck is #27 on the Bengals here doing? 4:10 if the link doesn't load right. Better seen from the behind angle it shows after the TV angle. It's almost like he didn't want to get a sack. https://youtu.be/HT4U6-XmEOw?si=vYHR_jgVYkALIgz7&t=250
  15. So we traded away the one dude who plays like he gives a shit on defense...
  16. I learned it somewhere. I'm pretty sure in college LOL Just asked grok, does the word, slave, come from the slavic people? Yes, the word "slave" is etymologically linked to the Slavic people. It derives from the Medieval Latin sclavus, which originally referred to enslaved Slavic people in the early Middle Ages. During this period, many Slavs were captured and sold into servitude by various groups, including Germanic and Romance-speaking peoples, particularly in the context of the Holy Roman Empire and Byzantine Empire. The term sclavus evolved from the earlier Latin Slavus, meaning a Slavic person, and came to denote "slave" in general due to the prevalence of enslaved Slavs.By the 9th–10th centuries, the association of the term with servitude became widespread in Western Europe, and it eventually generalized to mean any enslaved person, regardless of ethnicity. This etymological connection is preserved in many European languages, such as Old French esclave and English slave.
  17. Started following Tankathon again.. they have us taking Bain
  18. Looks like Miles Garrett isn't happy. Can Borganzi persuade the Browns to trade us Garrett for Key, McCreary, and Sneed? Let's throw in a high 2026 2nd round draft pick.
  19. I thought that was debunked. Hopefully people donate before they move on to my post.
  20. The etymology of the word, slave, actually comes from the word, Slavic, since they've been so thoroughly enslaved throughout most of Medieval history and even before by Ottomans. Pretty sad history of Eastern Europe. I guess you Western Europeans and Turks owe Croatian22 reparations. I'll be collecting on his behalf. DM me for my Zelle info which will directly fund his GoFundMe page minus processing fee.
  21. Do you really think the interpreter took the fall for Ohtani? Hmmm... I guess Ohtani's too valuable for baseball (both here and in Asia) to take the hit. Totally makes sense but do you have any proof?
  22. He would never catch that ball for the Titans.
  23. Possible, though if they traded someone they would just call up a healthy body from PS to fill in for next week’s loss.
  24. With the spate of defensive injuries in recent weeks we might see Borgonzi forced to wait till after the Chargers game to start moving guys as it will allow some of the injured guys 3 weeks from today till the Texans game after the bye to properly recover.
  25. After the last few weeks I wonder if Dremont Jones now has more trade value than Key. He went from being a big zero early in the season to actually being productive.
