If he had his child today then absolutely miss the game. I wouldn't even fault him for missing a playoff game for that. Family first. Posters only care care about the game. Not the players family and home life. No way would i bash a player for missing a preseason game for his child. But thats assuming. Its probably more important whatever is going on with him than a preseason game. Plus he did us a solid... if he played today and got hurt and we go to week 1 with a gimp Decker, banged up Davis who is behind the Ball and maybe not 100 and starting Taylor, Douglas and McBride/Weems we are in deep shit. Honestly... after watching today... if Davis and Decker can't play this next one then I don't want Matthews put out either. I want our best week 1... preseason is for the rooks, 2nd year guys and older vets vying for a spot. These guys get their time in practice on a team they know and QB and offense they know... get Taylor and Davis and Smith and Henry those reps... keep MM to a minimum and let our back end of the 53 duke it out our starters go up against one of the best DC every day and a much improved and better defense every day then they would see in preseason.
