IsntLifeFunny
I think as bad as Moore has been that he's a bit underrated and could get an extension if he's even serviceable. Borgonzi came from a team that stacked the defense, skill positions, and IOL. Edited Wednesday at 02:54 AM by IsntLifeFunny rns90

Borgonzi has already spent 1st and 2nd round picks on edge rushers I'd be surprised if we made a huge FA splash like that. I feel like we're going to be more conservative next FA period considering all the moves made this offseason. Not against pursuing Young though. He's quite good. I think if a similarly rated LT and DE were on the board, they'll lean LT because of Cam and it's a more rare position to find. Who knows at this point. We don't even know where we're going to be picking or who is going to be on the board. Draft rankings change a lot from now to next year. Hopefully it's a stacked class of LT and DE but who knows. Maybe Moore shocks us and actually plays well to the point where they are ok passing on LT another year. It's most likely going to be LT or DE, but who knows at this point. It's so early. Nash
I'd add the secondary needs some talent also, but like KC, I just don't see Borgonzi going corner in round 1 next year..

KC just drafted a CB in R1 this year. When Saleh was with the Jets, they drafted Sauce, so I don't think they're totally against CB if it's a need. If the CB group looks like the worst unit on the team they could. The league has become so year to year. I agree with the general consensus that LT and EDGE are the two biggest needs, but a lot will depend on 2026 and how the individual units play. Femi apparently isn't getting there, but I don't think any of us know what Faulk looks like by next year. Also, I don't believe he was picked as strictly an edge rusher. He's an early down edge setter with heavy hands. It was noticeable in preseason and on his Auburn tape how disruptive he is when you kick him inside. He's more a JFM type than a pure edge rusher. socaltitan
I think people disappointed in Faulk need to be realistic of what he is and what he was drafted to be. They didn't draft him to be a speed rusher. That won't be his game. It's not the profile you would draft in the top 10, but that's why he was end of 1st. If he becomes a very good power rusher who plays the run well and can get you 7-8 sacks a year that's a win. Which is why a true EDGE guy who can get after the QB is still a big need for this team and the fact Borgonzi has already spent 1st and 2nd round picks at EDGE/DL doesn't lessen the urgency to fill that skillset. OILERMAN
David Bailey was the type of edge they needed, which is why he went before their pick, those guys are difference makers rns90, Supernope, oldschool, and 1 other 3
EC34
If the team is as bad as the talking heads suggest (3-6 wins), they will have plenty of opportunity to reload the secondary and find a speed rush edge. But if the OTs aren't good enough this season, and they are forced into taking another one in round 1, the rebuild will continue for yet another season. Frankly, my patience is growing limited. ctm
Saleh likes a heavy DL rotation. Situational speed pass rushers can be found after the 1st round. Day 1 starting LTs after the 1st round are much harder to find. Look at the waiver wire and player claims in the last few days. Teams are desperate for quality OT play and the Titans will likely need to add 2 guys. Cutting Moore also yields a decent cap savings. tgo

Will have around 80M to spend if they release Ridley and 1 or 2 others, considering carryover. Gray will be needing an extension soon too though assuming he proves to fit well into the new defensive scheme rns90

There just aren’t many extension candidates outside of maybe Gray thanks to the shitty drafting . tgo, Supernope, and IsntLifeFunny 2
BudsOilers
There will be immense pressure to be a contender next year - new stadium, Ward in year 3, etc. Given they won't have many internal extension candidates, yeah they'll spend some money. tgo
