smokeater
As far as the accumulating draft picks philosophy, we’ll probably have to wait one to two more drafts to see if that will become part of Borgo’s system in the future. This team was so bereft of NFL talent that he has had to draft more for need(WR, DE, LB) until the rebuild is done. I think having a qb with little talent around him is what really drives home the pick for need philosophy right now. As far as OL(can’t do it all in one draft) he will probably still have to draft for need next year over accumulating picks unless a couple of these late round guys seriously show out. Once he has starting NFL talent at most every position, I think we may see some drop backs to accumulate picks and then we’ll see him punk some of these idiot GM’s that shouldn’t be in those spots. This is all what I’m hoping for anyway. NashvilleNinja, and OILERMAN

Still need a burner for the pass rush, while the wr room looks much better on paper we still need a long term guy to fill out the room unless dike or someone else shows out. Last but not least and the most likely choice is the LT of the future. smokeater, NashvilleNinja, Nash, and 1 other

Quick quiz: if we happened to be drafting 7th and we had the choice of Trevor Goosby, Cam Coleman, or Dylan Stewart... who you taking?

The caveat to that is that you don’t need pro bowlers at every other position to make that happen, but you do need at least NFL starting talent at most positions. Ran got us good, but it did lead to Cam, so… Callidus, and OILERMAN

Lol Goosby is a currently projected top 10-15 OT and Dylan Stewart is a currently projected top 10 edge rusher. For the record, I hope we aren't drafting anywhere near the top 10 next year. smokeater, and Callidus

While i would love to be a contender or at the least competitive, I would be lying if the meltdown from another bad year wouldn't tickle me a bit. I should probably talk to someone about that, not sure how much masochism and laughing at others dispaire you can get away with before you are a psychopath. smokeater, Pragidealist, and NashvilleNinja 1

I'm not worried about the lack of a high end edge rusher because Saleh has achieved top defenses without them and it's much easier to scheme defensively. But you need OL who win their matchups. One guy screwing one up can wreck the entire play.
ctm
With plenty of cap space to sign backup level guys for roster depth in free agency, Borgonzi used some of his day 3 picks to get maximum value out of his early picks by trading up. That's the opposite strategy of mock drafters who traded down to get more lower quality picks. oldschool

Many may not have understood the strategy during the draft because they were going off previously espoused strategical plans and didn't know that there may not have been unanimous agreement on how to acquire these new players. Last year they traded down to acquire guys. This year they traded up. I think the lesson to be learned is that Borgonzi is a maverick who is going to go after his guy(s) no matter what, whether he moves up or back. So stay on your toes. AussieTitanFan08
In that second part of the live Install Borgonzi once again strongly emphasized how important length is for him on the DL. @TeamRamrodand I were pushing all last CFB season and during the pre-draft process it was highly highly unlikely that Borgonzi would draft a guy in the top 5 with Rueben Bain's measurables. titanskick8851, titanruss, TheChosenTitan, and 1 other
